I thought this could have applications other than the shower, and it does! I was decluttering the top of my dryer and needed somewhere to store my dryer balls when not in use. What sold me on this caddy is the 360-degree hooks. That means you can hang it pretty much anywhere! As you can see, I hung mine from a wire shelf. I pushed it back against the wall so it wouldn't sway. I did not need to use the suction cups. I'm thrilled. If you are using it in a shower and want it to hang securely and not sway, I think it has to go on a door or other surface with a wall directly behind it.     • Nice versatile shower caddy
This shower caddy does everything I hoped it to do. I got it after a couple of years of showering with nothing but the built in soap dish that came with my shower. Typically all I use in the shower is a bar of soap and a bottle of shampoo, but you can't imagine how many times that soap has hit the floor. This caddy would easily hold 3 or 4 typical bottles and still have room for the soap. It's not obvious from the listing that the two curved metal pieces that hold the caddy turn freely in any direction. I'm using it over the shower rod with the curves facing forward, which let's it hang more straight up and down. Pretty happy with this long-overdue addition to my shower. ... show more

I have a small corner shower that can not accommodate the traditional behind the shower head caddy. I have been looking for another storage solution, and this has worked well to keep my shampoo and other items off the floor. The bars easily hang over the side wall of my shower, and the bars are very versatile in that they can be turned forwards or backwards. If you are able to hang this shower caddy as the designers intended, it's a terrific product. Chrome plated, sturdy, roomy, and attractive. I'd planned to hang on a towel bar on the wall opposite the shower head, but that didn't work. Bar was too far from the wall; high-quality suction cups but of course won't work with the resulting tilt. Works OK on shower rod, but puts stored items too high, especially if you want to use built-in pump dispenser, and it won't be stable. BUT FOLKS, now that I think about it, I'm not exactly sure how the designers intended. So... I'm going back and changing my rating from a 4 to a 2. Good luck!!! ... show more

Very nice deep basket. Attractive. However, the suction cups are horrible. If you can't hang this over, don't expect the suction cups to hold the basket in place. They are also slit where the rods go through. Not having a way to hang it over something we remedied their horrible suction cups by getting two Command Bath Hook and hanging the rods over them. Deducting 2 stars from 5 because of the suction cups. Using it with the bath hooks I purchased, would give it a 5 stars. ... show more

This item arrived quickly. I love this caddy because it hangs from two rotatable hooks and can easily be hung from the shower wall. It's large enough to hold the basics - soap, shampoo, conditioner, wash cloth. The installation is super easy...simply insert the two rods into the metal tube on the basket and seal with the nuts. Hang it and forget it. I love that I don't have to hang it from my actual shower head. I don't like putting any pressure or weight on it. This was simple to put together, just unscrew the bottom of each arm and insert into the indicates hole, then screw on the end. It is ready to hang! This over the door shower caddy was just what I needed. It sits well over my shower door, and the two large suction cups that attach help it stay in place. It holds all of my shower essentials, and there are "prongs" to hold your razor, loofah sponge, back brush, etc. Very easy to assemble!
