Primarily purchased for using as a lazy Susan. The item was expensive but is also well made and comes very well packaged. The lazy Susan holds various items and is great to have when entertaining as I can turn into a cheese, chip and appetizer serving board.     • So tiny! Holds enough for 2 people at most.
I got this to serve amongst other dishes when I have get togethers. The ad makes it look like it holds quite a lot of food, but that's not real life. The containers are quite small. The entire set would hold enough for 2 people at the most. I don't bother to put it out to serve a large group, it doesn't hold enough. The only way it would be useful in that setting would be with olives and cheeses or something of the sort. The dishes are thick and well made. The wood is smooth and pretty. The major pieces are made of beautiful bamboo. The fitted accent pieces are ceramic. All are sturdy. The piece with the inserts is also a lazy susan turntable. I was really excited about this serving set, but when I got it, it was a lot smaller than I expected. I don't think it works for entertaining a lot of people because the serving dishes are so tiny. I took a picture for size comparison, but basically the bowls can hold 1/3 cup of stuff. 1/3 cup! That's nothing! If you threw a party you would have to refill those things every 5 minutes. The bigger dish that potentially would hold chips is also not big. The set itself looks nice and seems like nice quality, I just want it all bigger! I thought I was getting more than I got. I don't think I will use this that much because the size is so limiting. ... show more
