I bought this for 2 1/2 & 3 1/2 year old boys. Fun and excitement! The two guns are well-made and deliver a generous amount of ammunition. Both boys could load easily & could shoot the gun easily as soon as they were shown how to pump it. The target was assembled quickly and stood stable. It is a good sized target, not too small. It’s lightweight and free-standing and doesn’t fall over. These little boys were not interested in target shooting, they shot everyone in the room. They hid behind the target to shield themselves because nobody was trying to shoot the target. It was a safe refuge. No one complained of discomfort from being shot. However, the ammo is not spongy, we would not have allowed shooting point blank. This set of guns would be enjoyed by older children as well, it was enjoyed by parents playing along.
