It might even be mostly steel but is light as plastic so the steel is really, really thin so don't drop it and other parts are really plastic. Really like the pitcher. Seems to hold 24 ounces instead of 26, but that was not a problem for me. I would have given 5 stars but would have liked the lid to have been stainless steel also, worried about chipping or peeling plastic.

I used this as a gravy boat for a party. I was excited about the idea of having a gravy boat that would hold a lot of gravy and would also keep it hot as it is supposedly insulated. It does indeed hold a lot of gravy. Perhaps it kept the gravy hot as well, because no one complained about cold gravy, but the actual container itself was EXTREMELY hot! Like burn your hands if you tried to pick up the container without using the plastic handle kind of hot. The top stays sealed until you actively push the button to pour the gravy, which is a nice touch and aids in keeping the gravy hot, except when you push the button to open the lid, you better do it before you tip the container because if it’s tipped already, an excessive amount of gravy comes pouring out. This gravy boat was certainly the talk of the party because it became a competition among the men over who could do the best with the gravy boat. I will give it one thing though. It is super quick and easy to clean! Overall, I don’t feel like it was a bad purchase, but I don’t think the quality met the cost in my opinion. That being said, I am happy that I have it and now know it’s shortcomings because I’m certain it will come in handy in the future. ... show more

I like everything about this EXCEPT the seam near the opening has a gap under it large enough for my fingernail to reach up inside. So there’s no way I will be able to clean it. You can’t see it so there’s no way to visually see it it’s clean or if something is growing in it. If they made it to come apart that would be great. ... show more
