    • Great! Had to toe it in a little. Used it for the rear rim.

Real good product. I used it for my rear rim. I replaced my old one with the same model (except this one is one centimeter longer - LOL). At first I set it in place so that the entire length would rest absolutely flat against the rim. Well, like with a lot of other people, it squealed whenever I applied the brake. So I toed it in a little to solve that. It means the entire length will not press against the rim, but that is just the way it is for anyone. I set it as close to flat as I could when I toed it in. I mounted these on the rear rim. This means its braking will not be as strong as the front brakes since the momentum of the bicycle carries forward. So, considering the rear braking will always be weaker than the front ones, it does a great job. ... show more

Not the manufacturer’s fault, but I didn’t know that cantilever brakes come with posts in varying sizes. Seemed good enough quality like all others I’ve ordered; nonetheless, I had to return them.

Most bikes went to disk brakes. Ones that still use the rim are mostly linear or side-pull caliper brakes. Those brake pads look like they would fit but they do not. These are the exact replacement for Shimano cantilever brakes. Work perfectly.
