This rug is lightweight, nonslip, washable, and looks GREAT. It's almost too pretty to use for an entryway rug, except that I am so tired of ugly entryway rugs! The 4x6 size is perfect for the area by my back door, where we troop in and need some space for 3 people to take off boots before tromping through the rest of the house. It does repel spilled liquids, so if you're quick, you can dab up some of the crud that come in with winter boots, but as it's washable, that part is not a huge draw for me. More important is that it is big enough and non-slip for my elderly mother, lays flat and stays put--and did I mention it looks nice? It does have creases from packaging when it arrives. Just toss it in the dryer on medium heat for 15 minutes, and those creases are totally gone. ... show more

Mine arrived an looked exactly like the image, including the rubber backing to help keep the rug in one place. Huge bonus especially for the price. I went to vacuum it, which is something I have to do often with dogs. The vacuum sucked the rug up and I wasn't able to roll the vacuum around to clean the rug. It will have to be cleaned using one of the tools and the hose. Other than that challenge, this rug is great! ... show more

Just got this rug, and I absolutely love it. The muted colors and pattern are exactly what I was hoping for, as it perfectly compliments a couple of existing rugs in the same room. The nap is smooth, even and soft, and feels great on the bare feet. The surging around the outside edges uses a crossover pattern which is much more durable, ( I used to repair oriental rugs both new and vintage for a living, so I know about these types of things). You can tell that this is a hand woven rug, and that is a very good thing. Hand woven rugs last much longer than the machine made ones, and have so much more character that there is no mistaking one for the other if you really look. The craftsmanship of the weaving is excellent, not $800 rug quality of course, but really very much above grade for a rug of this price range. Don't know yet about the anti slip claims about the backing, but if it starts crawling around the room excessively I'll come back and leave an edit comment. I don't think that will happen though, it seems like it should be okay. There are some fold creases when it's first opened of course, no avoiding that, but experience tells me those will smooth out after a few days or maybe a week at most. If you have a sunny spot to lay it out that will speed the process up a bit. This is an extremely well made and beautiful rug for a really really good price considering it's quality in both materials and craftsmanship, and I wholeheartedly give it a full 5 stars! ... show more
