It is hard to write a review for a food item we have not tasted ourselves. And ironically, cats have a habit of changing their food preferences often and for no particular reason, usually immediately after you manage to stock up on the food you thought they loved. We have a different problem - our newest family member, who I found on the road when she was only 5 weeks old and weighed 1lbs, is now almost 10 months old and will NOT, under any circumstances, eat any other food except this one. And I mean this brand, kitten formula, and only this salmon flavor. It is very moist, soft, and has a bit of broth in each little packet. We have four adult cats whose food our kitten will not touch, so we don't have to worry about her eating theirs. However, they love this kitten food too, so we have to supervise the "baby" while she eats, to keep her friends from helping themselves to her plate. Because this is the only flavor she would eat, we were very happy to find an ordering option which allows us to buy one specific flavor and not a multi pack. Also, we do love the packaging itself- small serving-size containers allow you to only open small amount of food and then add more if needed. With cans, even smaller ones, we always had leftover food that we ended up putting into the fridge. And unfortunately, none of our cats want to touch it once it was in the refrigerator even if we warm it up to room temperature. Bottom line... definitely a great food choice for your growing kitty. I would recommend buying one or two flavors in your local store to see of your little picky eater likes it or not. And if they do, order this pack. It's a great $$ deal (especially if compared to buying individual packs), and always arrives on time and very well packaged. ... show more

My breeder recommended SHEBA after my kitten rejected several other brands of wet kitten food. My kitten licks off the gravy first, but with SHEBA chopped into little pieces and left down for no more than 4 hours (after which harmful bacteria can begin to grow), my kitten will usually eat all or most of it. The smell isn't bad, It is wet cat food there will be that weird tuna smell but it doesn't linger. We will always get this kind of wet food to give our fur babies a treat.
