  • Great quality, (most are) easy to open, perfect
The media could not be loaded. This size binder ring is hard to find, so happy with these!! I wanted to make myself a simple, customizable bullet journal that I could open and rearrange pages and sections as needed. I wanted the smallest size possible so I could make something manageable and not have a huge binder sized stack of papers and clunky rings. These are exactly what I needed! They're easy to open when inserting pages but not so easy that they would come apart on accident. I don't know what other reviews are complaining about them being hard to open; maybe if you've never used binderings before and don't know how they work, but I found these exceptionally easy to work with and not at all hard to open or close. The only thing I realized after purchasing these is that I can only have a small number of pages in my journal before it becomes difficult to open, just due to the diameter of the rings and the standard margins left between the edge of the page and the hole on standard hole punches. When you have two pages open next to each other, the margins are about the same size or a little bigger than the interior diameter of the rings, so pages can kind of get stuck on each other when flipping pages. The problem is solved by using the hard cover to flip pages (by pressing the pages against the hard cover when I flip open the book). It's not a complaint about the product at all because the product works perfectly and it's as described, it's just something I wish I'd known before making my journal; maybe I would have gone with the next size up of 3/4 inch. Or maybe I would punch the holes a little closer to the margins so there's not so much bulk left inside the ring. I still love them and love my journal and would recommend these to anyone. NOTE: when filming a video for this review, I opened several in a row and the last one I grabbed was extremely difficult to open, I still haven't gotten it yet. I guess there is some variation in how tightly the rings are clamped together. If this is inconsistent and someone got a batch of the difficult ones, I can see how buyers would be frustrated. Most of the ones I've opened in my pack have been really easy to use, but something to be aware of and maybe the manufacturer should look at the consistency of their product if this is a repeated issue with other users. ... show more

  • Work great!
These rings are great for the project I need them for. I love the size of them and they seem sturdy enough. Like other reviews say, some of them are tricky to open, but I think with a pair of pliers I'll be able to open them ok. I like that they are a bit stiff because I want them to stay closed for the books I am making. For some purposes though I could see them being difficult to use. I still went with 5 stars though because they are working great for me so far! ... show more

  • They are very hard to get open.
It was a great size for what we were using them for but they were super hard to open.

  • Great for Projects That Won't Be Repeatedly Unfastened
I used these for some scrapbooks that my kids made for their grandparents for Christmas. The intention is that the rings will never be unfastened. For that purpose, they hold very well and are the perfect size to hold a few cardstock pages together. There were a handful of the rings that were all but impossible to get opened with my fingers, though some did open very easily by hand. If I was opening and closing these rings regularly, they would be annoying to have to fiddle with. However, as a set-it-and-forget-it project, they were perfect and exactly what I needed. ... show more

  • Great little binder rings
Small size. Perfect to bind a few pages.

  • The right size, the wrong strength
I wish I had gone up to the .75” size. These .5” rings are the perfect diameter for joining two drilled window panes together to make a tented greenhouse setup, but they are too weak to hold. I broke two of them when putting them on, and I know they aren’t going to hold up when the panes are folded up. I wish they were not so flimsy because they would have been perfect otherwise. I had no trouble opening them because I know the trick: push one end out a little while pulling the two joining pieces apart. No biggie. But they just aren’t strong enough for my needs. ... show more

  • Perfect size
I needed extra small 3-ring binder rings. These are great for the small number of pages I need to hold together.

  • Great size
Needed these for a small book that came apart from bad bookbinding. Used six, did the trick.
