    • Outstanding hybrid faucet for the moderately handy.
First, I'm Amy's husband Rob. I selected and installed this faucet. The actual product received was labelled Hotis Home. I mention that because we like this antique bronze version so much that I'm ordering one in nickel for our butlers' pantry. The design and execution are good, with focus on wear points. Much better than the "high end" product from a major manufacturer it's replacing.. The "M" product was always a struggle, and the stiff hose a problem that caused premature failure at two points. This a hybrid of a traditional pull-down faucet and a commercial pre-rinse faucet. Perfect for our needs. I have experience managing the equipment and facilities for four restaurants, and know what to look for. It would not survive the abuse of a volume restaurant, but it isn't being expected to. A couple of notes: in Q/A there is erroneous info. Without deck plate (included) max counter top thickness is 1-1/2". Using the deck plate, documentation states 1" max. My opinion is that 1/4" could be added to both, but no more. At least one reviewer said 3" would work, that is false. Next, points were deducted buy some reviewers for installation difficulties. Ok, it's awkward to work in that tiny area behind a deep sink. Ours is 9". That said, the engineering on this is great. The supply hoses, for example, have double "o" rings. You don't need to get inside the bell nut holding the faucet to the counter to torque them down. In fact, don't over tighten. That will just bulge the seals, possibly CREATING a leak. Removal of old faucet, 40 minutes, due to needing to cap supply stops that don't completely close in out house. Grrrr. Installation of this item, less than 20 minutes. Third note, if the hole in your counter is right up against the wall ( don't forget about back wall in cabinet ), clearance on the mounting nut could be challenging. The standard hole size of 1-1/2" provides adequate wiggle room though. The min hole required is 1-3/8". That 1/8" makes a difference in ease of installation. One odd quality is orientation. As labelled and designed, Hot is to the right, Cold to the left. Of course the choice is up to the installer. Yeah, buying another for our prep/cleanup sink (that doubles as dog washing sink, don't ask). Like I said. . bought it in bronze for the kitchen, buying another in nickel for the pantry. Purchased this faucet based on other reviews and the warranty available. Definitely so glad I went this route rather than buying at other home improvement stores. Hi-quality faucet made of strong materials. Professional installer even mentioned the faucet was "sick". That's in a good way. Water runs good and easy to operate. Spring coils are very strong. Wipe it down with a rag with water and it looks brand new. Gives the kitchen a very expensive look to it, when the faucet is very reasonable. This faucet is as advertised and I definitely would recommend this item to others!!! ... show more

I purchased this because my faucet was leaking. I wanted something sleek and simple. I had never installed anything like this and I needed something simple. I purchased this because it looked easy to install and it was a good price. The hardest part was getting the old one off. This was installed in less than 15 minutes. It looks nice. My Pur water filter won’t fit it. May need to purchase something else for filtered water. I see others have made theirs fit, may just need an adapter to make it work. There are concerns around the tip not unscrewing. Mine came off no problem. I also have great water flow out the tap and the spray hose. Works great! I’d recommend this for non-high end needs. It’s cheap. It’s not fancy. But it’s very functional and looks nice. ... show more

I installed the faucet without a problem...it looked nice and worked fine for the first 4 months then it started to drip...I could not get it to completely stop...if I opened and closed the water 2 or 3 times it would stop dripping for a little while but soon it would start to drip again.. I'm not very happy overall with this faucet...I had an American made product in it place that lasted 20 years...I tried to find replacement valve for it but was unsuccessful..can't recommend it. ... show more
