Though I haven't had all that long I imagine the gold plating won't wear any worse than what the Gibson gold hardware wears. They fit my Seymour Duncan Whole Lotta Humbuckers like a glove. They didnt make a gold set, so I ordered the open ones and some gold covers. They are beautiful and do not seem to interfere with or mellow the sound at all as others may suggest. These are what you need if you have standard spaced Duncan humbuckers and you need gold covers. Perfect fit. Don't forget to wax pot if in the cover if you want to tame the microphonics!

If you're in a band or just an avid guitar player, then I would recommend going with a higher quality set. I've had these covers for less than a year and they look like they've been through hell. I know it's inevitable for these things to happen, but I didn't expect to have to change them out so quickly. ... show more
