I carry a Canon 1Dx typically with an L series 35-250 with a total weight of 6-8 lbs. And I have two herniated disks in my back. Traditional camera straps don't work for me. I have been using this instead of a neck strap for a while now. It's much more versatile, especially when I'm using larger lenses. It frees up my hands and keeps the camera in a good position.     • Works great. Little fiddly because of lack of instructions.
The side holster was a bit tricky to install since there were no instructions. Same with the initial usage of the harness, especially putting it on. Including instructions would be enormously helpful! For instance, I didn't know the camera(s) could be locked in until I read other reviews. Other than that, it works great. Love the safety rings (little fiddly to get through the camera's strap loop) that attach to the harness so you can't drop the camera. I am keeping the straps on the camera and around my neck, just don't like to remove and re-attach these. I sometimes go out with 2 DSLR cameras and this harness works great, especially when I'm alone and don't have to dig in my camera bag to retrieve the other camera yet again. ... show more

    • A great additive for a holster for my cameras.
As a chest holster. It does really well especially during the winter or if I'm going to an event etc. This does the job cuz I don't have to worry about holding on to it I know it'll sit by itself. Of course I took the original buckles off the plastic buckles I didn't trust at all. So I altered just a slight bit with heavy duty buckles that will hold my cameras in place from the straps. This harness system works perfectly for me. Comfortable and secure. Reading reviews, it became obvious that you have to make sure the disc that attaches the camera to the harness has to be angled correctly for both ease and security. I use a cage for my mirrorless cameras and shoot mostly video. The connecting disc and the anchor points I have mounted directly to the frame, not the camera body itself. ... show more

    • Works well a bit awkward
Works well, camera stays in place. I'm small and it was challenging to adjust it small enough. It's a bit awkward to walk and hike with as you can't see right in front of you I wear mine to walk and also under a backpack hiking. I don't love it as a woman to have my boobs accentuated but it's fine.
