I have been pretty much home bound for the past few years and just recently gotten to the point where I can start going out and about again. I had a recent trip where I was going to stay with a couple of my kids and would be home alone during the day while they were at work and needed to take my gal with me so I bought this vest for her so the apartment and anyone else that would see me while I would be out in public would know that she was not just a regular pet (housing units have to allow service dogs vs pets same with stores). She has never worn a service vest before because we haven’t had the need for one because of me being home bound, but she took to it really quick! The vest for her has just become another extension of her whenever we go out and she needs to wear it. She enjoys it so much that as soon as I ask her if she wants to go to work and she sees me grab it she gets excited, jumps on my bed, and will sit and wait patiently for me to put her vest on! In fact I may end up having to order a second vest just because our German Shepherd understands what the vest is and she now wants one as well! lol! I ordered her a medium as she was right on the fine line measurement wise between a small and a medium and I felt it was better to be safer than sorry. It’s taken in as small as it’ll go and fits her just fine! I love the vest and all the multipurpose’s it can serve. I ended up even ordering saddle bags for it so if we decide to go out for an extended period of time for the day, just her and I, she can help carry extra items for me such as my meds and such. The grab bar seems pretty sturdy and well added. I can see if I got a second and larger vest for my GSD being able to use it to help pull myself up when I need the extra hand. I also love that these came with cards as well explaining our rights when it comes to having service animals. Luckily I’ve never ran into any issues yet with anyone asking but I can see where they would most definitely come in handy and helpful in possibly some of those moments if they were ever to arise!! ... show more

I am so pleased w this purchase, I do my absolute best to purchase top quality items for my dog (I don't judge by price or brand) the harness is of superb quality and exacting dimensions. For an added bonus, the color (sky blue) looks gorgeous. I'm writing this for anyone who has been trying to find a decent harness for a large dog. I have a 110lb Great Pyrenees who can pull like a horse and I was concerned about the long term effects of a standard neck collar on her throat, primarily laryngeal paralysis. But finding a quality harness has been tough. The harness had to be comfortable for my pup, it had to be durable and well designed. What's so great about the harness: - Material - The nylon weave is super thick and of high quality. This is durable and great for water/snow etc.. - Design - The overall design excellent. They did their work, it fits perfectly. No sagging, tight spots or any awkwardness. My dog didn't flinch or fuss when I put it on. She hates anything across her chest....ie, Halloween costumes. - Adjustment - Again top marks. It took me about 3mins to adjust. There are two adjustments; a strap across the front of the chest and one that loops around the bottom of the chest. The strap acros the front of the chest is a super thick, reflective Velcro strap that flolds into itself without leaving any bumps and stays put. The strap across the underside of the chest is a super thick adjustable nylon strap with a nice heavy duty plastic buckle that locks into into the female part on the saddle itself. - Reflective properties - The front strap is highly reflective. - Handle - The handle is of the same nylon weave fabric, conveniently placed and strong. It makes for easy maneuvering of the pup and doesn't flop. - Leash ring - It's right beside the handle and, again, it's strong and of good quality. - Padding - The interior of the saddle is nicely padded and it appears not to hold heat. We live in Ft Lauderdale and my Great Pyrenees shows no signs of over heating. I'm going out on a limb but I think it might have a cooling effect in direct sunlight. - Weight - I ordered the XXL and for the size it's light. This can be worn for extensive periods. - Functionality - Once everything has been set up, getting on and off couldn't be easier, just squeeze the buckle and slide it over the pups head. I don't understand why more harnesses function this way. - Service Dog sign - It's reflective and of high quality Velcro. While I was taking photos it luminesced so I included a snap of the latter. I can't attest to the quality of stitching etc. but if anything goes awry I'll update this posting. ... show more

My SD is 9.5lbs of an Italian Greyhound mix, an adorable handsome guy. The patch isn't big enough for folks to realize he is a SD. People constantly pet him and I come off as jerk telling them not to pet him. The jacket is the size Small and and is the best fit I've found for his size. I really was not expecting this level of quality for the price. I’ve had high quality working dog vest before that were around $70. This seems to be of similar quality. We got the teal color in size large and it seems to be a good fit for our 3 year old Golden Retriever.
