  • SMART DESIGN, SOOTHING COMFORT, HIGH-END PERFORMANCE, GOOD BUY!
I'm 6'1"/158 lb. and I installed the Serfas RX-921V RX on my Trek SuperCommuter 8+ electric bike atop a Kinekt Suspension Seatpost. I always ride with padded bike short liners (Pearl Izumi Cargo Liner Short), for both the padding and to "smooth out" the riding surface. Sweaty cotton underwear creasing and bunching up between the butt-area and the saddle is a ride killer. I've never had particular saddle problems with any of my mountain or roads bikes before, but with the added weight of the ebike coming back at me while riding over imperfect roads and trails, I thought I'd give this Serfas saddle a shot to see what additional comfort I might obtain on my daily commute and longer rides. Frankly, I was amazed by how much MORE comfortable an already relatively comfortable ride became as a result of the Serfas saddle. The added cushion was a plus, but the functionality of the split saddle is where the real benefit was apparent. You can readily feel the independent support of the two saddle lobes. Riding the Serfas saddle also made me realize how I've come to take a certain amount of numbness and soreness for granted during longer rides. With the Serfas saddle I experienced a distinct and noticeable lack of numbness with no hint of soreness/nerve fatigue over rides of 30+ miles. The Serfas saddle renders the shorter, daily commuter miles all the more enjoyable. The Serfas is not a very expensive saddle as bicycle saddles go, which makes it worth more than every dollar spent. It just feels freakin' good! ... show more

  • Worth it
After suffering some, ahem, issues after longer rides, I switched my road and mountain bikes over to expensive Adamo saddles. When I decided to set up a bike on a trainer for indoor use, I couldn't get my head around dropping over $100 for another saddle, so I went with this one. It's not sleek. It's not fancy. No one's going to be impressed by it. If you put it on a serious road or mountain bike, your lycra wearing craft beer buddies will laugh at it. But I've put about a 100 miles in on it so far, and it's comfortable. And that's what I bought it for. ... show more

  • Good seat for the right rider but...
This seat was a lot more comfortable than the stock seat that came on my 2016 Diamondback Insight II bicycle. It was nearly identical in size. However, my gluteus maximus is still a little too bony for this seat. I'm pretty skinny, so my bones feel every single bump in the road. This seat is most comfortable if you tilt is forward about 10 to 15 degrees so that your crotch isn't rubbing on the horn when you are vigorously peddling along. For many performance riders, this seat is probably a much better alternative than the stock seat on most bikes of this type, but if you have a sensitive buttox like I do, than you should seek out a cruiser saddle that is a little wider and softer than this one. I'll be keeping this seat as a backup, but I think something a little wider in the rear and a little softer with some springs would suit me better. ... show more

  • So comfy! Well worth investing in a comfortable saddle.
I recently got back into riding to get more active and help drop some pounds. I’ve spent some time fixing up my old bike, and took it out for a ride. I still had the saddle the bike came with, the one that feels like it was carved from a piece of wood… I was in a lot of pain the next day. Maybe I over did it for my first time out in quite some time, but still… I started checking out different saddles here on Amazon and reading the reviews. I decided I wanted a split-saddle, and ended up landing on this one. It’s not too big and bulky, which helps keep the bike look nice and sleek. It was very easy to install onto the seatpost. It also looks great in person and attached to the bike. Most importantly, it relieves pressure from the very important areas, and provides welcomed cushion everywhere else. ... show more

  • A bit heavy and pricey, but for an adult male these are quite comfortable
A very good saddle for adult males with enlarged prostates. This saddle made bicycling fun again. A welcome improvement over standard saddles. They are pricey, and they are heavier than smaller, sleeker, thinner saddles. I haven't owned mine long enough to rate its durability. The frame is sturdy. Don't know how long the material and padding will last. ... show more

  • Great Idea, But...
Liked the idea of the Split Seat for increased flexibility, but found that as I rode, the Split would tend to flex in and out causing chafing on the thighs. More comfortable on the seat bones, but offset by the chafing on the thighs. Had to return due to significant discomfort. Replaced with the Serfas Dual Density Saddle which resolves the chafing problem and is very comfortable on long 3-4 hour rides. ... show more

  • Great seat
5th one of these seats I have bought very durable unlike original equipment whose mount rails bent after a few rides and they are comfortable

  • Squeaky.... very squeaky !!
I had the same seat before. It squeaked and creaked for about a month and then stopped. So after this one wore out, I bought another one. I have had this one for months now and it is still squeaking and creaking. I have even oiled the contact points on the frame of the seat. It helps for one day and then the squeaking and creaking comes back. It is very annoying and loud. I would return this seat if it wasn't past the return time. The seat is very comfortable and that is why I bought another one. ... show more
