  • Best on the Market
These can be slightly difficult to connect and setup straight out of the box, but once you get used to the syncing and controls these are a must have for any motorcycle rider. My wife and I used these on a trip from Chicage to Gatlinburg and they were worth every penny. We were able to listen to our own music the whole time while communicating whenever we needed to. Battery lasted the whole trip (right at 10 hours) so I am happy with that. Be prepared to play with the microphone placement and sensitivity. It takes some time to dial it in but once you do it works great. If you are going to be traveling over 55mph for long periods of time I would suggest using earbuds instead of the speakers. It becomes somewhat difficult to hear at higher speeds and you will find yourself focusing too much on deciphering what the other person is saying. All in all it performs extremely well for what it is designed to do. The app is working well and is helpful for getting all your settings adjusted. Thanks for a great product Sena. ... show more

  • Perfect for Shoei RF1200
I popped these units into two Shoei RF1200s. One is mine and one is my wife's. We've had the helmets for about three years, and both helmets previously had Cardo Q9s in them. The install was super easy. - Six snaps to get the pads out. - Two hex screws to get the Q9 off. - Switch to the non boom mic on Sena unit. - Two hex screws (same hex wrench as Q9) to get Sena attached. - Used the same Velcro from Q9 install. - Used credit card to push wires in helmet creases. - Six snaps to get everything back. - Done Took about 25 minutes for the first helmet, and about 10 for the second. After it was all back together, I put my helmet on to check the results, and I was impressed. These speakers are a little thicker than those of the Q9 so they are a little closer to my ears. Yet still quite comfy. This slight change made the music much louder and gave a bass boost. I actually had to go into my EQ settings on my iPhone and thin out the sound for more clarity. The proximity of the speakers also gave a HUGE volume boost. First day on my way home from work I only had it about half volume while mashing 95mph where I could in Silicon Valley traffic. That's quite impressive considering how loud an RF1200 can be with all vents open and the visor cracked (It was 105F). This thing has way more features than I'll ever need. I just want the volume, intercom/music button while riding. But for many of you, the call, radio, voice command, etc. features will come in handy. It does look a little hoopty on the side of the helmet. It covers the Shoei logo and is taller than the Q9. I think Sena was going for a futuristic and aerodynamic look. While that looks great on some helmets, I think it fails on the RF1200. But the sound quality makes up for it in spades. The battery life has been fine so far. I'm a nut about charging all my stuff, but my wife isn't. I'll update this review if I get any complaints from her. The reason we switched from the Q9s is that we were experiencing a LOT of faults after only a few years with them. For instance, if a call came to my phone while listening to music, the Bluetooth would disconnect. I get a lot of calls (work) that I don't answer while on my bike (Z900RS), so you can see why this is annoying. My wife would constantly have the unit switch to intercom mode without touching it. Cardo hasn't supported these units since 2015 and I wasn't able to get any help from them. I tried resetting them back to factory. This didn't help my wife's unit, and mine wouldn't communicate with my laptop after reset, so I had even older firmware with the same problems. This isn't just Cardo bashing. I'm sure their new units are much better. And while the Q9s worked, they were great. In summary, if you have an RF1200 and it's the right size for your dome - this unit will be fantastic. It is: - Easy to install. - Comfortable. - Loud. - Easy to control while riding. - Styling could be better (I'll see if I can post pics). - Good battery life. - I am very impressed. Maybe check the other reviews if you want to know about the many features on this unit. ... show more

  • 4 out of 5 stars ain't bad!
I was a very early Sena SMH-10 user. Pre USB port SMH-10 as a matter of fact. Traded those in for the SMH-10 USB models and used them for many many years. Upgraded to the Sena 10S units several years ago. Thousands of 95% carefree miles with those. Actually still have them, and they work fantastic. Decided to buy new modular helmets earlier this year, and purchased the 20S EVO's for those new lids. As the other Sena BT comms units, installation is straightforward, and fairly simple. Have ridden several thousands of miles with these, and here are my findings. #1. I like the mount much much than the older mounts. #2. Glad they kept the 'jog dial'. #3. Battery life is a little better as compared to the 10S. #4. The ambient mode is quite nice. #5. The charging port gasket seals better than with previous models. #6. The sound quality seems to have a slightly wider frequency range over the 10S. #7. We sometimes have 5 or 6 in our group, so the 8 way inter-comm is nice. What needs improving, or is misleading. #1. Still have the occasional popping sound during bike to bike comms. It's not a range issue. #2. Still not rated as 'waterproof'. #3. The 1.2 mile range of course is very misleading. In my area (western NC) the realistic range is about 1/4 to 1/2 of a mile. 1/4 mile at best on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and 1/2 mile on the Interstate. Both ranges are more than adequate. Sena, like Cardo, overstate the range these devices operate. My conclusion, pull the trigger on the 20S EVO's if you're looking for a good, reliable bike comms system. Especially if you ride alone, or in smaller groups, like most of us do. ... show more

  • Best motorcycle headphones!
These are the best bluetooth helmet headphones that I have ever had. They work perfectly and can go as loud as you want. I have a loud V Rod and I never have an issue hearing my music nor my girlfriend when we talk using the intercom. I have also used it for calls while riding at 70 MPH and the person that I am talking to cannot tell that I am riding my motorcycle while talking to them. This was a very good purchase and I would highly recommended. Just make sure you take the time to place the speakers next to your ears properly. My ear position is not the same as my girlfriend and if they are behind your ears then they will not seem loud enough. ... show more

  • Top of the line unit from Sena
Love the outstanding battery life! Charge these units until getting the blue light and get ready for hours and hours of connected communications. The range on these units is great and exceeds other lower cost Sena units I have used. I also like the audio multitasking feature because as the lead group rider I receive audio GPS instructions while still being connected to group intercom. Also has an ambient noise feature which is useful for when stopping for gas for example to be able to hear immediate noises from your environment (safety). ... show more
