I was skeptical to purchase a mattress that costs so little but now I'm screaming from the rooftops to anyone who will listen. It was time for my old mattress to go, and I was getting horrible back pain from it everyday. This mattress is exactly what I needed. It is mid-range firmness slightly towards the soft side which makes it perfect for side sleepers like myself. I'm very happy with the weight and quality of the mattress. As you can see in the picture (which does include my 4" mattress topper) it is a VERY thick mattress and after adding my topper barely fits my sheets! I think it is very well made and comfortable. It was packed well and was protected very nicely. I feel that the price was also very reasonable. Does not make me feel overheated. Correct size. My only complian is about the delivery, amazon requires a verification code when delivering, but this is a gift for my friend, Amazon tried to deliver it 3 times, and 4 days dealys, I called Amazon 3 times about the code thing, hope they can improve in the future. updated: the customer service helped to resolve the issue. so update the rating from 2 stars to 4 stars. ... show more

The mattress was nice & thick & you could see the individually wrapped coils.👍. Was a great price point for our family. The only drawback was that it was shipped utilizing U.P.S. & they had destroyed the end of the box & the end of the mattress was exposed. Definitely was not the manufacturers fault, but would think twice utilizing U.P.S. for shipping products. We had recently purchased a new queen bed and needed a mattress. We wanted something that was of good quality but not too expensive. This Selene mattress filled the bill perfectly. Surprisingly, it came in a long box that was only about 10 x 10 inches. It was folded up and wrapped in plastic. As soon as the plastic was cut the mattress popped out to its full size. There was no odor or wrinkles in the mattress. It was ready to use as soon as it came out of the box. The mattress is not particularly hard or soft.
