I have a 1992 19Ft Boston Whaler Outrage. A beautiful boat but not the best fishing boat. I have adapted it for fishing but the dilemma was a lack of a live well...they are double-hulled fiberglass boat so I think having one installed was not a viable. So, I took an old cooler, bought this kit and it solved my problem! I added longer wires so I could attach to my electric trolling motor batteries. You just need to check on it once in a while to assure a rambunctious fish did not cause the suction cups for the spray tube to come off or loosen...no real issue...I may just epoxy the suction cups in place. It worked beautifully for me. I used it for walleye and perch...I did not put pike in it on advice that their slime can plug up the pump....Not sure about that...I will test that theory this weekend.!! ... show more

Hose extremely too short…. I ordered a longer hose but messed up and ordered the wrong size… I ordered 1 1/8 but needed a 3/4 hose 5 foot ….

Works great. Perfect for my 5 gallon bucket and live wells on my bay boat. It’s the portability I like. IT DEFINITELY NEEDS AN INTAKE (base) FILTER!!!

    • The description isn't accurate
The pump definitely works. There is mention in the description that it filters the water. There is no filter mechanism at all in this pump. The pump actually works too well. It is so powerful that it actually sucks up any fish in your live well that get too close to it, then it proceeds to shred them to pieces if they're small enough to get close to the motor. This sprays fish pieces throughout the well and fouls up the water. Not recommended for use for bait fish. They will definitely get sucked up! ... show more

I haven’t use it out on the water as yet but after testing it I’m truly impressed the way it’s working so far. The installation is easy and it’s worth the money.
