  • Kid approved
Color: Black
Bought for my kid and he loves it. He doesn’t like the “mouse click” feature (that’s what he called it) but he loves the entire thing. Came fast and super affordable. Also comes with extra joy sticks and interchangeable trigger buttons. Did NOT come with instruction manual. Only bad thing.

  • Decent Controller, Odd Quality Concerns for the Price
Color: Steel Gray
Fairly good controller with plenty of customizable features. Granted, none of these are explained since the thing doesn't include any instructions in the packaging, but there is a QR code under the flap of the lid for the manual. Hooray. The online documentation provides plenty of thorough information regarding the controller, of which there are a lot of features. Most important to note about the controller is that it is strictly wired, meaning that you have to used it plugged in. This isn't the worst thing in the world but it can certainly be dealbreaker for many used to the comforts of gaming untethered. This will won't really be a concern though for many people who will likely play this on their PC. The controller also features paddles on the back that actuate quite nicely and require a deliberate effort to press, leading to less accidents overall. In addition, Triggers are fairly smooth to push down while the bumpers have a quick and tactile actuation. I especially like the ability to flick a switch on the back to instantly turn the triggers into a hair trigger that has an incredibly small travel for that instantaneous reaction. It is stiffer by feel alone but you wouldn't be noticing it in practice. The faceplate of the controller also lifts up magnetically to allow access to the sticks. You can then easily swap out the sticks for the included dome tip ones that are also slightly taller if you prefer the tactility they offer. The sticks themselves move very nicely around the controller thanks to the friction ring, and the sticks also have improved accuracy because of the hall effect sensor which is all the rage these days. I had no trouble with weird debouncing or the like during use, and I am able to make fine adjustments using the Steam Input configuration. Under the controller are also some adjustment knobs that can be rotated with your thumb. They offer mild tactile feedback when used, and they can also be pushed in to trigger their respective features. These are particularly useful when using the controller with a headset since there is a dedicated media plug under the controller. Despite how I feel about the controller, I do think there are some fairly minor and major concerns regarding the overall build quality. Firstly, the adjustment knobs on the bottom are finnicky and often do not have the tactile feedback when being rotated. Also, the directional pad is not as nice as I would have liked since it often clicks in another direction during regular use, which certainly proved bothersome at several times. Perhaps most egregious of all is the strange tilted right stick. The left stick is pointing straight up as expected, but the right stick is tilted to the left by a fairly large degree. I am uncertain if this is intentional, but my feeling says otherwise There is also no software that I could find for easier configuration of this controller, which is a shame since it does have a lot of cool features that require a fairly length documentation or video for proper adjustment. Overall, the controller itself is fairly nice with a good feel and tactile buttons, but I found that the quality of certain aspects to be unacceptable for a controller with this sort of price tag. For a bit more, you can have one of the more popular premium options, though how much better they are is up in the air still. I think without these issues, the controller would be better, but the steepness in adjusting its functionality and the concern about the build quality does put a damper on my impression. ... show more

  • Faulty Right Stick
Color: Black
Received my controller just for the right stick to be broken. The right stick didn’t work when flicking/moving it up and down. Everything else was perfect and the controller felt great.

  • A great XBOX/PC controller from SCUF.
Color: Steel Gray
I'm a big fan of the SCUF VALOR PRO controller. It's slightly smaller than your standard XBOX controller, but not so much that you'll notice the difference unless you have them side by side. Every aspect of this controller has a premium feel to it. The rear of the grips on the controller have a rubberized texture so the controller won't slip if you get sweaty hands while gaming. The faceplate has an almost silky smooth feeling to it. The D-Pad feels amazing to use. There's no wiggle on the D-Pad and there's basically no travel distance when pressing it down, allowing for instant inputs from the D-Pad, which is great for fighting games. The triggers feel great in their standard mode, and when flicking the switch for each trigger on the rear they get transformed into a clicky short throw trigger that feels very similar to clicking a mouse button. The ABXY buttons feel great and are membrane backed, though it would have been a nice addition for them to be switch based. The 4 programmable paddles on the back are tactile and responsive. The outside paddles require a bit of pressure that they won't be accidentally pressed while gaming. The inner two paddles are a lot easier to press, so if you're not using them you can use the included "blanking plates" to remove the inner paddles. And the sticks are just as good as every other aspect of the controller. They use hall effect joysticks which use magnets that offer superior precision, feel smoother to use and the longevity of hall effect joysticks far exceeds that of potentiometer joystick which are found in your standard XBOX/Playstation controllers. The built in audio controls are great for those who game with headsets hooked up to their controller. The dials are tactile and both can be clicked in for quick access to muting game audio / mic audio. Out of the box, this controller has a polling rate of 250hz on PC and XBOX. A future update is expected to enable 1000hz polling on PC, though SCUF hasn't announced when that will come or how the update gets applied to the controller... Possibly through Corsair's iCUE software or a program specifically made for updating the controller's firmware. When I see they have released the update for PC, I will update my review accordingly. Update: There is a firmware update program available on the SCUF website. Overall, this is an awesome controller and I highly recommend it! ... show more

  • Scuf failed
Color: Black
Scuf honestly made a pretty bad attempt at Hall effect sticks 1 there is no software to make the deadzones true 0. 2 the sticks height isnt the same as the instinct its actually shorter and you cant use the instinct sticks. 3 no way to make the controller deadzone circular like the razer has a circular option and the gamesir has that as well. Im not happy with this purchase probably one of the worst controllers ive used with Hall effect sticks. ... show more
