I have had a cheap $400.00 cube machine for a few years with no problems. came with a 1 year warranty. I have always wanted a nugget ice machine so I finally talked myself into buying a $3,000 machine with an advertised warranty of 3 years. Just got my new machine as I'm reading the paperwork and I see it has a 3 year warranty for commercial use only 1 year for residential. I called Scotsman in disbelief and yep, only one year. You would think with less wear and tear in a residence would have the same if not better warranty.. I really hope this thing will outlive my expectations. ... show more

We bought this for our home because we are obsessed with sonic ice. This ice is better than sonic! We drink a lot of ice water and love no longer running out. We can fill a cooler with plenty to spare.

The unit worked great for 11 months and then just complete working all together. Trying to find out if there is a warranty. Waiting for a reply.

    • Beware/Commercial unit. Non serviceable unless you are a business
I’m not a business and didn’t realize this is a commercial until. It broke in weeks and I have been unable to get anyone to fix it. Corporate hasn’t stepped up with a solution. You are far better off buying a residential unit. My experience has been a disaster.
