I wore this to a graduation and sized up more than I usually would because I was pregnant, but could have kept my normal “one up” size because it’s such a flowy and generous dress. I am very overweight and always slef-conscious about trying to look nice. This was the perfect dress for my body shape. It was comfortable but elegant. My only warning would be not to wear it on a windy day :). It does come open quite a bit with wind.

I like the material and the print was very pretty but putting the waistline directly below the bust is a very poor idea for plus sized women. The gathered waist accentuated my belly. I love the cut and fit of this dress, it is very flattering and fits true to size. I could overlook the somewhat cheap looking fabric, if it weren't for it being partially sheer. I got the black color. The front looks fine since the fabric overlaps so you have 2 layers, but in the back, in direct light you can see right through it. It could definitely cause an embarrassing situation. Could work with a slip but I don't want to bother with that for a cheap dress, I decided to return it. When in doubt, put your hand behind the fabric and hold it up to the light, if you can see your hand then the fabric is too sheer. ... show more

I purchased this dress to wear on a nice dinner on our vacation. I tried it on (standing only) and absolutely LOVED it. It was so comfortable and flattering. I am a size 20 and have an average size bust for a plus sized gal (44 DD). On the day of our dinner I was so excited to wear my dress. I put it on and we left. As soon as I sat in the car I realized I had a problem. The entire front of the dress would barely stay closed, revealing my bra/cleavage. Of course I had read this in other reviews, but when I tried it on it seemed like a non-issue for me. Of course... I didn't try it on while sitting. Doh! My fault. But still, I had no choice but to go to the restaurant in the dress - I had NOTHING else to wear, NO garment to wear underneath it, and NO time to stop at the store to find anything. So the entire dinner I was holding the material over my chest and was so uncomfortable the entire time. I feel like this garment would be 100% better if they could include a little clasp or button near the cleavage area, that way if needed, you could close it.
