I am very overweight and always slef-conscious about trying to look nice. This was the perfect dress for my body shape. It was comfortable but elegant. My only warning would be not to wear it on a windy day :). It does come open quite a bit with wind.

The quality of the fabric was really nice. It was very flowing and didn't have to iron the packing wrinkles out, I just popped it in the dryer and let the heat work for me (lol...I hate ironing...lol). I purchased a size larger (I wear XL and brought a 2XL) breast wise it was too big (I'm a C cup) but the rest of the dress flowed as I wanted it to flow (probablycould have been smaller also, I'ma new XL so not used to more form fitting clothing yet...smiles). I got many compliments on the dress and my husband loved it so much he requested my second wearing of it to church one Sunday. So that should say a lot...lol ... show more

It's a very pretty dress flattering. I'm 5'8 $ 225 bra size 40 DDD. It fits loose from the waist down. Very flowy and comfortable, medium weight fabric. The slit goes up to the waist but it's easily kept closed by adjusting it or a small sew. My black bra didn't show through. It seems well made but I haven't worn it out yet. ... show more

I purchased this dress to wear on a nice dinner on our vacation. I tried it on (standing only) and absolutely LOVED it. It was so comfortable and flattering. I am a size 20 and have an average size bust for a plus sized gal (44 DD). On the day of our dinner I was so excited to wear my dress. I put it on and we left. As soon as I sat in the car I realized I had a problem. The entire front of the dress would barely stay closed, revealing my bra/cleavage. Of course I had read this in other reviews, but when I tried it on it seemed like a non-issue for me. Of course... I didn't try it on while sitting. Doh! My fault. But still, I had no choice but to go to the restaurant in the dress - I had NOTHING else to wear, NO garment to wear underneath it, and NO time to stop at the store to find anything. So the entire dinner I was holding the material over my chest and was so uncomfortable the entire time. I feel like this garment would be 100% better if they could include a little clasp or button near the cleavage area, that way if needed, you could close it.
