  • ANSI A6 CUT RESISTANT-Cut protection level ANSI A6 is approved by the ISEA, which means the sleeves can be used for heavy-duty cut hazards against the cardboard, metal, knives, razors, scissors, and other sharp cutting instruments.
  • NO GLASSFIBER- Unlike ordinary sleeves containing glass fiber, our sleeves are made of ultra-flexible high-performance polyethylene and metal wire. These sleeves ensure outstanding cutting resistance, flexibility, and resistance to abrasion without itching and irritation to the arm.
  • ULTRA-LIGHTWEIGHT- A higher-gauge sleeve uses thinner, finer yarn and has more stitches knitted per inch, which creates a tighter knit, so an 18-gauge is lighter than a lower gauge sleeve. These sleeves have higher cutting resistance and ensure a feather-light second skin feeling.

I purchased these as we have several trees on our property with branches that scratch my husband's arms when he mows under them. (Yes, they could be trimmed.) He was always coming in with scratches and blood on both arms. He has been wearing these protective sleeves for a couple of weeks now. No more scratched up arms. No more need for two boxes of Band-Aids in my cabinet. These are work great! -Soft material around palm breaks and freys very easily then starts to unravel like in a cartoon. Very soft weak material nearly identical to women's leggings. -velcro straps are not attached verywell and start to come off on first tug to tighten around arm. -velcro straps are not padded enough and chafe the skin uncomfortably. It is fine if you have it over a medium thickness shirt sleeve. -Cut resistance seems to be legit. Put a leather pouch inside the sleeve while wearing it and could not cut the material with a knife using a decent amount of pressure. ... show more

Purchased these to wear in the car and outdoors as have started developing solar purpura on forearms. They do go above the elbows, but I often fold them at the elbow back on themselves.
