Excellent product, easy to use, very flexible to customize - I added two shelves (12", 12" and 4" compartments) using marble 4" wide bullnose cut to proper length to fit tiled box - used decorative 12 x 12" tile sheets made of 1" x 1" decorative tile squares of several different natural stone (slate, marble, ceramic, travertine, glass, granite) cut to fit the 3 compartments that I designed. The 28" long box provides flexibility to create whatever is needed for storage. I chose 2 x 12" high compartments to store my bottles of shampoos and conditioners - I measured my favorite pump bottles with the pump part fully extended and the longest was 11" so the 12" space allows for easy removal and storage - don't forget to take into consideration the thickness of tile you are using to line the front, back and sides and the thickness of the shelf material used when you rough in the dimensions for the shampoo, conditioner, etc... I was left with a 4" shelf compartment for bar soap, razor storage, loofa and whatever other small items you are using in shower (including a new squeegee used for cleaning the new glass shower doors and new wall tile after a shower). Used metal (Oil Rubbed Bronze) tile bullnose to edge out box with rest of bathroom wall tile, and marble 4" bullnose for shelving cut to length (better than the shelf supplied with Keri Box, much thinner and needed more than one shelf) - marble bullnose for shelving was inexpensive and available in stock at Lowes and HomeDepot as was decorative tiles used for the background inside box. I installed this niche with the Schluter Kerdi 32-Inch X 60-Inch Shower Kit. The Niche looks and feels like quality. The middle shelf is not attached and can be removed or positioned were you like within the niche. I installed the niche without the included middle shelf. I cut to size 2 pieces of 3/8 inch thick glass and used them as shelves. The height of each shelf after completion of the installation was adequate. The height of the bottom shelf is a little more than 3.5 inches. The height of the middle shelf is about 12 inches. The height of the top shelf is about 10 inches. The niche was used in a new shower install so I did make a frame in the size of the niche made with 2x4 studs. The niche install was relatively straight forward and simple. The niche is made of some sort of foam so the niche wall does have some flex to it. If there is a gap from the back of the niche to the wall behind the niche, then I would suggest during the install to use some sort of solid backing at the back of the niche. I used spray foam to fill the gap and give it some sort of support so there's no flex. Make sure not to spray too much because the stuff does expand and my push the niche wall outward.
