This monitor is a great value for college students, for an office, or budget/beginner gaming computer. The color quality is not great compared to more expensive monitors tailored for gaming, but it is not a serious problem and it works great for the price. The best part about this monitor is the compact packaging and it is lightweight. You are provided with two screws and a screwdriver, which screws on the back of the monitor neck to hold the monitor in place. To disassemble, you just take out those screws, you can put everything back in the foam, and slide it back in the box. Then, you can carry the box easily under one arm. That’s why this is the perfect monitor for college move-ins/outs or anyone on the move with a monitor. I need two hands to carry the box of my more expensive Acer Nitro gaming monitor, but not this one. Finally, no computer monitor speakers are high quality, so don’t expect a rock concert coming out of any monitor speakers. They are just fine. ... show more

Update: monitor works great, it's helped him condense 2 screens into 1 for work, it's perfect for him. I will update this review after my husband uses the monitor for the first time. It looks good, our main gripe right now is that I specifically ordered it to be shipped in Amazon packaging, but they shipped it in its own box. For normal stuff it doesn't matter as much, but for a computer monitor it's nice to have it hidden in a nondescript box on the front porch. Thankfully we were home to get it right away. First glance, the stand seems flimsy, but he's going to put it on a different stand anyway so that's not a big deal. Unlike other products, every item promised was present, making the setup process smooth and hassle-free. Built-in Speakers: Admittedly, the built-in speakers fell short of expectations. I quickly switched to my computer speakers for better audio quality. While not a deal-breaker, audiophiles might find this aspect lacking. Thankfully, the visual experience compensates for this minor setback. Display Quality: As a secondary screen for my MacBook Air, the Sceptre monitor holds its own. The 100hz is perfect for players in competitive games and same thing for more laid back games as you it looks so stunning, although it's 1080p it still feels like a beautiful display if you get the settings right. Build Quality is pretty good, not really a comment about other than it being pretty sturdy, it comes with an Hmdi Cable and a cord for power. The only small issue about this is that you won't hear much of a difference when changing the volume, until somewhere between 40-20 volume. Other than that this monitor is so worth the price especially if it's on discount. 👍 ... show more

I bought this to replace a burned-out 27-inch monitor. It was easy to install on a wall mount and produced a good picture. I was surprised how light it was compared to my previous monitor of the same size. I like that. It does not include a remote as it is a monitor, not a TV. I never used the remote on my old one and had lost it long ago. There is no reason to have a remote on a monitor. The picture quality is good. The price was fantastic. I highly recommend this to anyone needing a computer monitor or monitor for a streamer, such as a Fire Stick. ... show more
