This is a good costume IF you modify it. Without modification it's about standard quality but overpriced. 1) Pin the hat onto the mask. (Why wouldn't they put velcro or something? It literally just falls off.) 2) Buy new wings. These ones are are terrible. $9 ones from the local Halloween store worked great and held up to 4x wearings. 3) Cut pocket holes in the pants so you can access your pockets in pants/clothes underneath. 4) Add a belt for the pants. The drawstring is terrible and they will absolutely fall down. Ain't nobody wants to see that. 5) THE BIGGEST IMPROVEMENT- Take scissors and cut out most of the black plastic from the mouth and the eyes. This opens the mask up quite a bit and makes it actually tolerable. Without doing this the mouth hole is about 0.5" x 0.5". I opened it up and now can actually breath it. Feel free to cut out all the extra plastic mask flashing inside of it too. I took like a pound of extra s*** out and it was 1,000x more comfortable and breathable. Overall it's OK quality but a few design changes would make it great. ... show more

I bought the extra large. If they had a 2xl, I would have bought it. But that's because I often fit tightly into extra large. I am 6-0, 240, and wear 38/32 loose-fit pants. It's going to work. But nobody will call it loose. But who ever heard of a six foot flying monkey anyway? Come to the Collinsville CT Halloween Parade and find out. The. Costume looks great! Just like in the movie. I know it's going to be a hit. The mask fits my 7 3/4 head. So that shouldn't be an issue for most people. Everything else is pretty fun. You get gloves, shoe covers (feet), a shirt, a tail, wings, and a hat along with the mask, furry arms, furry pants, and hat. I'll try to add a photo of me. Here goes. ... show more

The costume was a fairly good costume however the mouth was difficult to breathe out of some modifications were necessary. Like a few other reviewers have said the Hat will have to be penned on, as you can tell by the pictures my husband didn't like the feeling of that happening pain. So we ended up not wearing the Hat. The biggest complaint is the wings and the rest of the back, from the front the costume looks great but from the back it looks really janky. The wings were only finished on the front and the back of the shirt doesn't come together very well. I really liked this costume. It did require quite a bit of finessing upon arrival. While I didn't win the costume contest I had entered that night it was unique. The face mask came with several large creases in it that took about 90 minutes to work out with a hair dryer. The shirt which cant be washed or dry cleaned also came with several large creases that took just as long to iron out being careful not to hit the red an yellow paint that would smudge with the heat. The mask neck covering doesn't stay inside your shirt very well and through out the night I kept having to tuck it in. The wings are held on by a suspender like band that you put your arms in. They require you to shape then and take some precaution to keep in place so the back doesn't open up. The downside the the wings is the back of them is just a black rubber and no design. The feet slip on over your shoes and on mine it seemed to ride up and over to slowly work itself off position. ... show more

This costume is pretty nice, I went to a fall festival and I was walking around with my family dressed in wizard of oz theme, and while I was wearing this suit I would constantly get compliments from individuals on how cool I look, and I even had people want pictures with me. Was pretty cool. The only thing I dislike about this costume and why I knocked off a star is because the hat is impossible to keep on unless you pin it on and the "Shoe covers" come off easily while walking around have to constantly adjust them. However, if you warm them up a bit, and then stick your shoe in nice and firm, they don't come off as easily anymore. Be sure to use a hair dryer to fix the mask, if you're in a warm area though, you're going to sweat pretty good with that mask on. ... show more

The large fit well- 5’11” 210lbs. Very good costume, kind of expensive, but it should last for quite a few Halloweens. The monkey hands and feet make this thing very creepy and I inadvertently scared my daughters friend so bad she is still talking about it a few months later. This costume looked great... however my husband has large biceps & the arms of the costume would not fit & got stuck... I purchased the largest size they had and the arm still were too small.
