Description

Rental shoes were nice for a time, but now you’re ready to take the next step in your climbing career. And SCARPA has just the thing with the Men’s Arpia Climbing Shoe. Balancing comfort with precision, the Arpia has a slightly more downturned profile and asymmetric last than most beginner climbing shoes. The result? A rock shoe that drives more power to your big toe, giving you more edging power without making your feet hurt. Built using Vibram XS Grip 2 rubber, these shoes offer consistent performance on all hold types and in all conditions. And to make it easy to get these on and off throughout the day, SCARPA added a single z-strap closure, maximizing both comfort and fit. Innovation and tradition share equally deep roots at SCARPA, a muti- generational, family-owned business whose headquarters and manufacturing facilities are in the same region of northern Italy where it was founded in 1938. SCARPA builds performance footwear for climbing, hiking, skiing, mountaineering, trail-running and other outdoor pursuits. Aside from being the Italian word for "shoe," SCARPA is an acronym for Societa Calzaturiera Asolana Riunita Pedemontana Anonima (Associated Shoe Manufacturing Company of the Asolo Mountain Area).

  • Definitely an upgrade from a $100 shoe
Size: 11 Color: Black/Red
Ordered mine true to regular shoe size. A tad snug the way a climbing shoes should be. Quality is great and they tighten up adequately. An issue I have is the tightening strap runs out of area to Velcro quickly. But even with that, the suction on your heel is very tight. I do find I can only keep them on for1 or 2 climbs before needing to take them off. The lining is very soft. Taking on and off repeatedly can have the Velcro scratch up your foot. Would buy again ... show more

  • Size fits perfect
Always get nervous on ordering shoes via online. These fit perfect. I ordered a 9.5 and they were tight at first (a hair tighter than I would have liked even for Rock Climbing shoes).. but I wore them rock climbing and within two hours they stretched out perfect and now fit really nice.

  • Good shoes for moderate climbing
This was my first pair of the Arpia model shoe, though I have worn and liked other Scarpa shoes in the past. The size of the other shoes matched very well, and the shoes fit as expected. These shoes are not super aggressive, and I can wear them for reasonable to long lengths of time comfortably. The performance is as expected and the shoes are overall a good quality. ... show more

  • Size 14 Advice
These appear to be well made shoes, I’m sure they would do great for someone but they were far to wide / high volume for me. Even wider / higher volume than the vapor v. If you need wider than Vapor V, then give these a try. If you need narrower / lower volume / regular size 14, then try Tenaya Iati
