This is the second one I ordered. I ordered the first in a different color, which matches the color of my hair when it fades. I have naturally blonde hair that I have dyed dark brown, and after a few weeks the color is lighter. So this dark brown one matches the color of my hair when it is first colored. The first one I ordered came in a box, zip tyed, in a hairnet with a pink storage bag, comb, extra wire, and clips. This one came in a plastic bag, no hairnet or zip ties, tangled and clearly used, with a pink storage bag and a comb. The extra clips and wire were not present. Those issues aside, the hair itself curls, but doesn't curl easily or hold long. With extra strength hairspray, it lasts a day. I don't want hair I have to restyle every day. I have not tried cold curling or wet curling overnight methods, but a heated curl should last three days. After the first wash, the hair isn't as soft. But it's still soft enough that no one notices the difference between my natural hair and the extensions. Overall, I woukd buy this product again. But I would send it back if it was obviously used and missing components. ... show more

Really nice quality hair and I love the fact that it arrives already somewhat layered and it does not have the blunt straight across ends. The color match is fantastic. The thing I do not like is the adjustable fishing line because that is NOT as easy as some make it appear to be. Be sure to have the needle nose pliers nearby or you will just have to keep readjusting it before you crimp it down. I am going to try a different brand in addition to this one that has the pre-sized fishing line band but I am keeping this hair as well. My hair is naturally curly and we have had a lot of rain so I have not entirely mastered putting it in but as you can see in the pic the quality and shine is amazing. I am a licensed cosmetologist and I have seen my fair share of extensions, and let me tell you that these are some of the best. Not only is the hair incredibly soft, but the wefts are highly dense as well. However, I must say that for the extensions to blend well with my natural hair, I did need to cut them with some texturizing shears. I also purchased an additional shorter weft of platinum blonde hair to hand sew in between some of the wefts within the extension. I did this so that there would be some more shorter pieces of hair throughout to help blend with my layers and add some more lighter pieces into the hair for more depth. ... show more

So I recently lost a lot of hair last fall - my thyroid was out of control and I didn’t know it. I cut off a foot and a half of hair and what was left was baby fine. It’s been growing back in steadily, but right now the new growth is only about two inches long; the rest is just past my shoulders and thins out considerably from my scalp. I figured this halo would be perfect while I’m waiting for the new growth to further descend. I purchased a cheap synthetic halo about a month ago and loved it - it blended in perfectly with my hair and nobody can tell I’m wearing a hair piece. So I decided to bite the bullet and purchase one made of real hair that would last until my hair has fully grown out. Pros: the hair is beautiful. My hairdresser said the halo is fairly well constructed and would probably last a year if treated delicately, maybe even longer with regular trims - which is why I bought the 20 inch. So far, there’s been no shedding (even with combing), but keep in mind I’ve only worn it twice and never washed it. The hair is also very light - some could argue it’s because the hair is thinner on bottom than on top, but I like that - it just makes it look more natural. Regardless, it didn’t give me a headache due to too much weight. Cons: the wire is not stretchy in any way, like on my cheap halo. Even after I adjusted and tightened it, it kept slipping back. The only way I could keep it in was to utilize the clips - which is very bad for hair that’s still delicate because of hormonal imbalance. I purchased a cheap stretchy wire and swapped them out and the hair stayed in place without the clips just fine. However, I had to remove the clips because even closed they kept tangling in my hair when trying to place the halo. But the biggest con is how bulky the band is. It’s fine if you have a full head of hair to cover it, but if your hair is thin there will be a ‘bump’ where the band sits beneath your hair. Most of my hair fall was from the sides, and the band is quite thick on the sides where the wire meets it. I wasn’t confident that the ends would stay completely hidden at all times - something I don’t have to worry about with the cheap halo because the band is so thin. So for now, I’ll stick with the cheap synthetic halo - maybe come fall I’ll be able to swap it out for this piece. ... show more
