Tried every chalk out there. Finally someone suggested to buy this. The pigments are off the charts. But it is super messy so I suggest wearing gloves and buying a little carrying case for the colors so they don't bleed onto eachother

    • Excellent range of pastel colors
For my street painting I’m always looking for a range of tones to help bring out an image. I find these pastels as a good option for adding a range of shades to my pallet. Good pigment colors that blend well and don’t fall apart on a concrete surface.

Up your chalkboard game!! {Pictured are my kids illustrations on their chalk board wall} of 144 pieces, only 6 were broken during transit (unfortunately 3 each of 2 different colors). Packaging was fairly secure though, so predict a few broken pieces. Colors are great, and coverage is nice on paper, sidewalk and chalkboard. They also blend nicely; they do shed, but don't roll, so are much less prone to breaking by rolling off table or desk. Also anticipate the pigments staining your hands temporarily. I'm really impressed, these are the best chalks at the best value with a nice color range (some have way too many earth tones). Definitely artist quality! and so much fun!!! ... show more

I've bought these pastels three times for various large scale chalk art events and they have usually been great. 1. COLOR: For the price, these colors are vivid and the pastels can cover a lot of surface area. The range for skin tone is kind of limited. Also, the colors, while similar, are never completely consistent. 2. FIRMNESS: These pastels don't blend as easily as higher quality ones. They are pretty firm and don't have that buttery feel really nice pastels have. This said, they are a decent quality for the price paid! 3. SHIPPING: The first two packages were great; however, this last package had some broken pieces. I honestly wouldn't have minded so much if it weren't for the fact that the broken pieces were black - literally the one color I have that's all small nubs right now. 2 out of 3 times they have showed up in good condition. ... show more

It's unfortunate that they came in broken. They can all be used but some are too small to use at all. No protective packaging. Just box with some thin felt like material between.
