I have never owned a “trench” coat but have known for years that it is considered a wardrobe staple. I am 5’6” 117 lbs and bought size S in black. I love it! It’s heavy weight and the material is soft and feels to be of quality. I absolutely hate the plaid interior lining, I thought it would be the reason I’d return it, but I removed the hood and now you can’t see the lining! I would probably rarely use the hood anyway. The belt and belt loops do sit too high as other reviews mentioned, but it’s not a deal breaker. The belt is more up around my rib cage, not my waist. It looks ok! I love this coat and it is big enough to wear over winter sweaters! The sleeves are also long enough which is always a plus. It is a bit boxy but since when is a trench coat supposed to be super figure flattering? I’m going to wear this to work at my office everyday this fall! Love it! ... show more

I bought this coat because I was looking for a trench coat style rain coat. Love the length, it’s got some weight to it so it does not feel flimsy or light. It is lined with a detachable hood. This raincoat is well worth the price. It is beautifully made but a word of caution, it runs small. The coat has very little room to spare for a sweater or larger undergarment and I ordered up a size. It is very fitted with little to no give in the fabric. The fabric feels high-quality and the fit is true to size, but I was hoping the lining would be tan and blue plaid. I received the red & tan plaid lining. My other issue with the jacket is that the sleeves are wide so it looks a little sloppy on me. I would have kept it if those two things were different. ... show more

Love love love the Burberry plaid inside lining. I purchased the navy blue in a small. It is the right weight for transitioning to fall weather in the south. It is water repellent and has a hood so it is multi purpose, but still looks classy.

Finally ordered...very well made and great materials. My only negative is the size chart, which I found confusing.
