    • I Had To Request A Replacement But Works Well
The media could not be loaded. The first one I received had a broken tube which no matter what I did would not create suction to filter the water. After receiving a replacement, this second one worked just as expected. This is a cute little fish tank and comes with everything you need to get started. I got this for my son since he had been wanting a fish. The only issue I have with this is sometimes the water will splash outside the tank and will get the surroundings a little wet. It's not terrible but it's definitely something worth mentioning. For the first issue and the small splashing alone, that's why I removed 1 star. ... show more

I go this tank for my daughter to have her first fish, and we are new to owning fish, so it was really nice that this set comes with everything you need. I feel like the set is definitely worth the price, and I love that the bowl is made of plastic because my daughter is only 5 so accidents are still prone to happening. The tank works great, and easy to set up. The only warning I have is that the set comes with maybe a tiny handful of pebbles to put in the bottom of the tank, so you really need to get an extra bag of fish tank gravel for this to look really put-together. ... show more

I bought this fish tank as a starter fishtank for my son, something I could take care of while introducing him to a fish. I was thrilled to find a small tank made from plastic because while this is intended to be out of reach for a small child, it gives me peace of mind knowing it wouldn't shatter if it falls. The fish tank came quickly and included everything you needed to set up the tank, including a clip-on light, filter, plant decorations, and stones. The plastic feels durable and sturdy and everything else feels well made. Set up is easy and it's perfect for small compact areas. With the size, I would not put more than one fish in but for my purposes, this was the perfect little tank. I've been keeping fish of various kinds for decades. This caught my eye because it offered a variation on the traditional fish bowl by including a filter and mini light. This makes it easier to keep fish healthy. The small size makes it practical where space is at a minimum. Set up was easy - the instructions were minimal, directing me to a short YouTube video on how to set everything up. The package includes all of the necessary filter components plus an extra length of tubing. A small selection of glass gravel provides something to decorate the bottom of the bowl. I added some white gravel. There's a decorative plastic plant - I added a live plant. The light clips on and does a good enough job of lighting up the bowl (and the filter.) The plastic construction avoids the breakage hazards of the traditional glass bowl. Several things that weren't mentioned. The photos in the Amazon listing don't show the the two power cords that come off the back of the filter, one for the filter pump and one for the light. You'll need a power outlet nearby or an extension cord. It's apparently okay to fill the bowl high enough that the motor and cord for the filter in are in the water, going by the product pictures. It's possible to adjust the water flow through the filter by turning a white plastic valve on the siphon tube. There is some noise from the filter - the motor and the trickling of water back into the bowl. Some people may find the water noise attractive - others not. I also found that for some reason the spinning wheel was causing the filter to emit tiny droplets of water off to the side of the bowl, splashing on items next to the bowl and around it. I took a star off my review for that reason. Removing the wheel seemed to solve the problem - and also lessened the noise from the water returning to the bowl from the filter. My testing assistant was mesmerized by the aquarium, especially the spinning wheel. (See photos) If you have a cat, be advised they may think this is a fancy drinking fountain and elaborate cat toy. ... show more

    • nice shape but not the greatest filter
I like the shape of the bowl. The size is small but decent for a small fish. It is lightweight and easy to move. The filter wasn't the best though. It didn't really work and looked clumsy. I ended up having to take it off the bowl.

    • Love this little fish aquarium
I got this fish aquarium for my betta. He loves it. The only thing he has a problem with is the current of the waterfall. The pump circulates the water pretty abruptly and he has to swim a lot to keep up with it. I found it worked better without the filtration system. But it's very quiet it's made with great quality materials, it looks beautiful no matter where you put it, and a great value for the money ... show more

I ordered this one gallon aquarium to gift to someone who has their own office. I was impressed by the quality of the components included. The kit basically had everything included to have a healthy setup for a small fish. I decided to go with a small betta fish since they don't produce much waste and the males do well alone. The tank setup was a breeze and I was able to add the betta immediately after adding water conditioner to the water. The only issue I ran into during setup was that the rubber gasket in one of the plastic tubes kept getting kinked as I pushed it into place so I wet it a little so it would slide easier. This small setup is beautiful and the ornaments and light add a nice touch to it. I highly recommend this setup for anyone looking for a nice small complete fish aquarium that is affordable. ... show more
