    • Great specs - on paper - poor in functionality
Where do I start? Oh yea the curved quirky screen - which is no more than a marketing gimmick. If you have big fingers too bad! When you are holding it like a normal phone be ready for false touches. The screen will think you are making gestures or touching the screen, when in reality you are just holding the phone. Why? Because the curved nature of the screen actually touches your thumb or finger. OK MAYBE NOT A PROBLEM IF YOU GET A THICK CASE. NOPE! Still a problem with a thick case because now you can't really use the finger print scanner! "cannot recognize fingerprint" I remove case and try and it recognizes it. The charging port stopped charging after 1 year unless I'm holding the cable in a certain position and applying pressure. It's not the cable - it's the port on the phone because I tried 10 different premium cables! Useless "bigsby" button that cannot be mapped to anything else! Turned off bigsby because I don't use it and it already has "google". Too bad! You can't map it to anything else you may actually use, like the camera! Oh you got a phone call and phone is in your pocket? You press a button - phone will not silence like any other phone will. You must take it out and swipe left to silence the call. Oh you are trying to increase volume to max? Well you can't unless you read and ok a paragraph that states " high volume may lead to hearing loss, botulisms and stds, please read our full terms and conditions here". No "do not show again" check mark? Come on Samsung. You release a new phone every 10 days but you can't correct basic functionality issues with your flagship phones? " Do you want to use samsung photo, google photo, gallery or pictures to open this photo" Why do I need 4 different picture apps to open and view a photo? It should just work! I can't remove, delete or uninstall them from the phone - you are stuck with them. Extra waste of space! Too much bloatware from Samsung - will never use or pay attention to. But must update it every month! Oh you turned off automatic updates in options? Too bad, we will install updates anyway and restart the phone randomly. Oh you want to stop the camera shutter because hey it's not a real camera, well you can't! Why? Because in South Korea if you have a device with a camera, it must make a Camera shutter noise at full volume otherwise the government may think North Korea is spying on you. Samsung forgot that when they realized they are selling to a global audience. Stop trying to be Apple. Be better! Samsung has good specs but not really good due to basic functionally issues. ... show more

I brought this product from Breed used. The sim tray was damaged and there were scratches along the sides and top of the phone. However, the screen and camera were fine and the back was mostly undamaged. The delivery time was slow and it came in a strange box, but it came working smoothly and came network unlocked, which is what matters the most to me. ... show more

This seems like a great, 5-start phone, but it wasn't the particular Galaxy S9 that was advertised. I purchased this, and I didn't get an international version with the Samsung Exynos 9810 SOC (with the ARM Mali G72 GPU), which is what the description says. This contains the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SOC, just like the US version. In doing further research, this SM-9600 is "an international version," just not "the international version with the Samsung Exynos 9810 SOC, with the Arm Mali G72 GPU" (i.e. it's not what fully what it was advertised as). According to TechWalls, this model is for China. However, when the one that I got first-boots, it appears to be configured for US Spanish. BTW, I never used it as a phone (i.e. I didn't plug in a SIM), but I did use it with WiFi. It seems like a great, 5-start phone. I just needed the version with the Mali G72 GPU. ... show more

Received the phone in December only to realized most of the info was written in Chinese had to take it to a tech person to figure it out in the English version ...I'm from the Caribbean Barbados to be exact and I'm disappointed could have bought it from my country and save my self extra taxes.
