  • Power cord is too short!
I bought this monitor to replace two side-by-side 16:10 monitors running at 1920x1200, with a 24" diagonal. This new monitor saved me a couple of inches of desk space, and the diagonals are virtually identical to my old monitors. The big appeal of this monitor is that it keeps the 16:10 aspect ratio, which is, sadly, getting rarer. This was my first experience with a curved monitor, having never even seen one before, so I was a little nervous about it. The curve is a total non-issue, and is quite subtle. I'm seated about 26" from the screen, and it's not a problem at all. The screen has a somewhat glossy look to it when viewed from the side, but head-on, it looks more like a matte finish. I can't see any reflections in it up until about 6" away. The viewing angles seem decent. I notice a drop in brightness on the opposite side when I move my head to the left or right side of the monitor, but the color seems fine. It doesn't really break down until I'm far enough off to the side that the curve begins to physically obstruct my view anyway. I've been splitting my time using this monitor as a pair of 16:10 screens, each hooked up to a different computer, and then expanding one of the computers into 32:10 when I want to do widescreen gaming. The switching experience is about as seamless as one could expect - I have to hit the PBP button on the bottom of the monitor twice to switch. I haven't attempted to set up the built-in KVM, and have instead opted for two sets of keyboards and mice. Cons: The power cord is extremely short, perhaps 6 feet at most. I wasn't able to use the integrated cable management because I couldn't spare the extra foot this would have required, since the power connector is off-center from the stand. Samsung should have included a substantially longer power cord. The monitor does not come with a DisplayPort cable. I dug one out of the box from my 10+ year-old monitor, and used that, but found the image degraded heavily when using higher refresh rates. Neither Windows, nor the video card, nor the monitor informed me that my old cable was an old version (1.1 at best). I ordered a newer cable, and I was able to get the quality I expected. Samsung should have included a DisplayPort cable, since someone could easily end up thinking the monitor had a problem, rather than it just being an older-spec cable. There are not many display inputs, one DisplayPort, one HDMI, and a couple of USB connectors that I doubt I'd ever use (how many video cards have you ever seen that output over USB?). Considering this monitor is intended for Picture-By-Picture use, Samsung should have included two DP and two HDMI inputs. Only one input can drive the built-in speakers. It would have been a trivial expense to include a sound mixer and volume equalizer to allow both inputs to have audio. A volume knob would have been a nice touch too, since the digital slider is slow and annoying. From what I have read, this monitor has no adaptive sync features for variable refresh rates. I haven't paid too much attention to it, but it would have been a nice touch. As an Nvidia user, I'd prefer G-Sync, but is seems there aren't many of those monitors available at all. Other thoughts: Samsung, if you made a 4k monitor in 16:10 (3840x2400), I would buy it, as would many other people. Give it 4 simultaneous inputs for tiled screens in various layouts, along with the sound mixer I mentioned above too! I have no interest in buying a 16:9 monitor, at any resolution! I'm really happy with the phsyical dimensions of this monitor. Essentially, stack this monitor on top of another, and you've got what I'm looking for. At work, a lot of people recently got "upgraded" from 24" 1920x1200 to 27" 3840x2160. Almost everyone has had to scale up their font size to 200% to keep from squinting, so, in effect, they've just gone from a 24" 1920x1200, to a 27" 1920x1080! As you might have guessed, I didn't go 4k, but I did manage to grab some of the newly freed 16:10s for a nice 4x portrait layout. My first order had a cluster of dead pixels and some scratches on the screen. Amazon replaced it, and the second one is perfect. ... show more

  • I am in love.
Now that I have been using this monitor for a few months, I am still totally in love and glad I took the leap. There is a huge advantage to being able to layout windows however you like on a super wide, super large screen. The picture and color quality are great (I do professional video editing in Premiere Pro and After Effects, and do a lot of work in Photoshop and Illustrator) and perfectly adequate for what I do. The viewing angle is very large and the colors never get washed out. The screen is really bright. Samsung has really hit it out of the park with this one. Pros - You have one giant mega-screen, and you did not know how much the bar in between your two monitor system got in the way. Now that it is gone, you enjoy the flexible screen layouts you can create freely. (Actually, I had two landscape and one portrait monitor, and I kept the portrait for a few months but found I rarely needed to use it, so now I am down from three separate monitors to just one gigantic monitor) - Big with tons of screen real estate. - Very crisp, bright image. Great colors. - Great viewing angles. - Curve makes viewing this mega screen really easy. - Not as wide as the 49" curved gaming monitor, which to me is a plus because it is easier to see the whole thing, and has slightly more vertical pixels (1080 vs 1200). That makes slightly more vertical room for spreadsheets, websites, etc. on the screen at one time. - Nice cable management. - Sturdy stand, has VESA mounting options. - Built in KVM switch, if you only need one very infrequently, this works OK. - Quality build. - Has an eyesaver mode that actually does let your eyes rest. - Comes with cables (usb3, etc.). Cons - Price costs significantly more than two similarly functional regular curved monitors. - A little bit weird to get used to using this screen if you are used to using multiple monitor setups. Specifically, you have to either use Windows (assuming you are on Windows...) native window snapping functions, or you can download and install the Samsung window management program (if you can find it....). It works with this monitor. If you are used to minimizing and maximizing on two different monitors, this takes some getting used to. But now that I am used to it, no problem! I also found a program called MaxTo - it is better IMHO than Windows native snapping, and it lets me do thirds (or anything else you want). - When maximized, program menus are far on the left at the top, and often program elements are far on the right, so not ideal if you need to use the program menu while you work within a program (e.g. Photoshop) if the program is maximized. - Really bright, high contrast screen can wear on your eyes - the eyesaver mode makes it much better. On the other hand, didn't you want that crisp, high contrast, colorful screen?.... - The KVM setup is painful, and from what I can tell you have to have the PIP or split screen mode on at all times to use it. I just end up hooking up a new KVM that has a handy keyboard shortcut for switching - easy setup and fast switching with no hassle. Having to mess with PIP and other things just were not worth it to me, because I use two CPUs and one monitor and have to switch back and forth multiple times a day. - Although the menu selection/menu button is nice as far as physical button design goes, it cannot be customized and as far as I can tell, quick, one-press actions are not present, so annoyance builds up from having to press and select multiple times to get things done. - Manual does not have the best instructions, the online chat person did not know anything about how to work the item. He actually told me at first that the monitor does not support KVM, until I pointed him to the website and manual showing that it does. There is mention of something along the lines of a single press shortcut for KVM usage, but how to set that up was not apparent to me. Anyhow, my second computer is not ready for KVM setup at the moment, so I will update on whether I go with the native KVM or my own KVM. - Remote in with something like TeamViewer is not ideal because of the large screen size - quite difficult to navigate. - Very mild wobble with the native stand if you bump your desk. ... show more

  • Nice monitor however KVM is flakey and the manual is very, very bad
I have a 2018 Mac Mini I use for serious work and an Intel NUC PC running Windows 10 that I use for games. So I bought this monitor over other ulta-wides specifically because of the KVM support. First off, the manual is a joke. It is "IKEA style", in that it consists of drawings and other graphics to denote how to operate in a language independent way. That's fine if you are putting together a sofa but not if you are trying to setup a $1000 monitor. There is absolutely no information on how to setup for KVM other than some obscure drawings that you have to puzzle together in order to work out how to connect the various cables. After staring at the manual and the back of the monitor for at least 30 minutes it dawned on me how it should be setup. Basically the keyboard and mouse plug into the standard USB-2 ports in the back right-most side of the monitor. Then the 2 USB-C ports on the left side go out to the respective Mac and PC. A single USB-C cable carries the keyboard, mouse, audio and video so it is crucial that the cable be the right type (either USB-C 3.1 v2 or Thunderbolt 3). If your PC or Mac doesn't have a USB-C port then one needs to use the supplied USB-C to USB-3 adapter cable as well as (possibly) having to use an additional HDMI or display port cable to carry the video. I'm not sure if this monitor supports DisplayLink (video, keyboard, mouse over USB-3) or not. The KVM feature can be used in 2 ways: first is by pressing the PIP/PBP or "picture in picture/picture beside picture" mode which will split the screen with whatever is plugged into USB-C #1 displayed on the left and USB-C #2 displayed on the right (or HDMI and DisplayPort if you don't have USB-C). There is a separate button on the right to switch the keyboard/mouse between the two screens. In order to switch to a single screen the left most button is used to select the input source. This is where the monitor firmware is really bad. The monitor firmware doesn't seem to remember the input source setup (whether it was set for USB-C, HDMI, DisplayPort etc) and will sometimes start scanning without waking up the PC (or Mac). It then takes a combination of pressing the input source switch with the sleep/wake button on the PC to get it to sync up. Quite often, waking up the Windows PC resulted in a severely distorted screen which is I believe and issue with the display drivers and USB-C. This goes away if using an HDMI cable but then it removes the convenience of only needing 1 cable to control everything. Also, the manual doesn't explain how to adjust the volume on the monitor. This is important because when Macs are connected to a digital audio source the audio controls on the mac are disabled (this is unfortunately by design). Only after playing around with the JOG button did I discover by accident that moving the JOG to the left or right will raise or lower the volume and pushing the JOG will mute. However, this behaviour is not consistent. Sometimes it will instead adjust the monitor brightness for no apparent reason. In short it took on the order of 3 or 4 days for me to figure everything out (mostly be accident/trial and error). If you go to their online support page there is a zero documentation (not even a PDF of the manual). I guess since this is classified as a "business monitor" that you are supposed to have trained IT support on site to help with these issues? Furthermore, there doesn't appear to be a way to update the monitor firmware so these "features" are unfortunately baked-in. ... show more

  • AWESOME Monitor!!
Samsung CJ89 is a very good monitor. It is a ultra wide 32:10 42" monitor. It is a impressively wide double full-HD resolution monitor. It just like two full HD monitor put together side by side. It has very has good picture quality, wide color gamut and high native contrast ratio with HDR support. It has 120Hz refresh rate, much more then the needs of office use. With high refresh rate, I can feel very low lag even I just use it for office use case. When I scroll up and down the word document. It works very well, even long time usage, my eye feel much better than my older monitor. It come with factory color calibration data. I never saw this kind of data in my past monitor purchasing experience. You can connect two video cable to monitor, your laptop will detect two full HD monitors. It is like two full HD monitor together side by side "NO EDGE"....THIS is AWESOME feature!!!! I can use half monitor for coding and another side for reading document, email, or bower website with "NO GAP" in between. I put my older Monitor in vertical, I can look the trace, writing email and coding at the same time without arrange monitor. Another AWESOME feature is creating huge and complex Excel sheet...I can create a huge table and see the column from A to BG at the same time. And, I can create a very complex formula without change the line. This advantage improve me a lot of working efficiency. The 1800R curve provides just the right viewing angles when you sit right in the center of the monitor. It is not suitable for discussing issue with colleagues. The 3840 X 1200 resolution is kill my colleagues's monitor during screen sharing in the meeting. From their screen, everything become very small. But, this is not the fault of this monitor. You can just switch dual monitor mode, this issue will be resolved. And, you got another free screen during meeting. It also has build-in speaker, the sound quality is also very good. And, it is build-in in the monitor. It saved me lot of desk space. The signal is transmit via HDMI cable. It is also good for watching movies. I also tested eye protection mode. The screen look darker, I will use it before i went to my bed. But, I disable it during working hours. The another drawback is the its leg, the leg is putty long. You can need a big desk for it. But, you can use wall mount to resolve this problem. Its leg build-in cable management feature. But, I plan to purchased a wall mount for it. It has 1 HDMI and 1 display port connectors. No, any DVI or D-SUB connector. With this high resolution, I will suggest to use HDMI or display port connector, not D-SUB. It also has adjustable tilt and high leg, but, you don't have much room on left or right adjustment. If you are not the central, the screen quality will become very bad. In overall, this is best screen in my life now. Even it is a gaming monitor, but, it is very suitable for office use. ... show more

  • Initial Impressions
- I received this monitor two days ago. So far I am amazed with it. -- Pros: - I am able to charge, view, and control my MacBook 15inch 2018 model with single USB-C cable. - The KVM switch works perfectly, I can easily switch between my Work Windows laptop and my personal MacBook with click of a button. I have the bluetooth dongle(connector) for my keyboard and mouse connected to the USB port 2.0 on the back of the monitor. - The way my setup works is: Work Laptop is connected via HDMI and a USB cable(Coming out of the USB-C port for PC-In) and my MacBook connected to the USB-C port with 85W power delivery. If you want the KVM to work on the HDMI connected device then you also have to connect the PC-In USB cable to that device, haven't tried it with Displayport connection but I am guessing that is how that works as well. Hope this made sense. - Due to the Matt finish of the screen, there is no glare and I am able to switch to eye-saver mode which displays similar to the color the Mac does only thing is it has to be manually enabled and disabled, not an issue for me. - Picture in Picture works great, there are a few different modes and sizes you can change it from, which is great when you want to work on different devices at the same time. - The packaging was done great, the monitor box came inside another box so double the protection, I am guessing some users mentioned that they had issue with screen when they received the it, and must have improved packaging due to that. -- Con: - Samsung needs to improve the Easy Setting Box software to distribute screens. Many times it does not work and not all the applications support that on a Windows based PC. The software is not offered on a MAC. Overall the first impressions and couple days of use has been great, I hope Samsung can improve the software. I will update the review as I use the Monitor more and if I find more Pros & Cons. ... show more

  • Outstanding Monitor
If I could summarize my review of this monitor in one word it would be outstanding. I have used several monitors from several different manufacturers and the Samsung CJ890 monitor is the by far the best! So why is the CJ890 Ultra Wide 43” monitor the best? Pros • Packaging: The monitor came shipped in the usual box however, it was packaged so well that even a careless delivery person would not have been able to damage the monitor. • Setup/Inside the Box: The setup was really easy and even allows the user to put the monitor without taking out of the box. I was able to secure the stand on the monitor while the monitor was in the box which will make sense to the buyer as the monitor is so big, manuvering the monitor is a little awkward without the stand/base attached. The box came with everything you need to connect two devices. It came with the power cable, a HDMI cable and a USB C to USB C cable. The stand allows height adjustment and swivel adjustment. Bottom line is that setup was a breeze. Plug in the monitor and cables and away you go. I plugged in a Surface Book Pro and a Galaxy Book and both worked flawlessly with this monitor. • Picture: The picture quality on this monitor is unmatched. I have streamed movies, watched TV and worked with several office applications and the picture is simply amazing. The Eye saver mode is also a major plus. • Sound: The sound is unexpectedly great. Do not expect movie/theater room type sound but for a computer monitor the sound is well above acceptable. • 2 monitors in 1: Being able to have 2 monitors in one with this picture quality puts this monitor in a class by itself. Cons • Cost: This unit new is $900…kinda steep for a computer monitor if using it only for work applications. Overall, this is an outstanding monitor and would highly recommend the CJ890 based on the picture quality and the space it is saving on my desk. While the $800 price tag is a little steep, you have to consider what you are getting. Not having two monitors with cords going everywhere has made my workspace more enjoyable…plus the monitor just looks so cool on my desk. ... show more

  • Wide Screen Love
I've used this monitor for over 2 weeks now and it has been an absolute pleasure so far, not all is perfect about it but it's very small issues. I am still in awe looking at videos or booting up a video game and seeing all this real estate. The picture quality is also fantastic, nothing top notch but it’s perfectly suited for whatever your needs are. It's simple to use and set up. The biggest problem I had was moving my other monitors around to have a large setup. I love that it has built-in speakers, they aren't that great but it's nice to not use headphones sometimes. Pros: - Super widescreen, no need for 2 monitors next to each other and not divide or space between. - Very Bright and colorful screen - Has its own KVM built-in and Picture in Picture mode - Has its own “monitor split” to use another device like a laptop for half of the screen for you pc and one for your other device - Very solid quality built as expected from Samsung. - The mount is solid and easy to use even one handed. - Has a lot of ports in the back Cons: - Price is still high, you could still probably find 2 great monitors for cheaper than just one of these - Although it has a lot of ports in the back, they aren’t enough, One HDMI, one display port, 2 USB C, 1 USB 3.0 and 2 USB 2.0 for Something that mocks 2 monitors, it should a least have 2 HDMI or 2 Display ports I feel. - Not all things look good super wide, a lot of programs still aren’t built with support for it in mind and just looks super stretched out. - The built-in speakers aren’t going to please audiophiles - Super heavy screen and instructions to put together might not be for everyone and is very basic ... show more

  • How do I love thee - let me count the ways...
I bought this to replace two 24" side-by-side Samsung computer monitors (and it basically took up the same desk real estate as the two monitors). I hated the split down the middle of what was a virtual ultra wide set up. I recently bought a Mac Mini to replace my aging Mac Pro tower, and the limited number of "outputs" meant that I was using up precious USB-C ports for monitors. Well that was my excuse to buy this monitor anyway... Not sure it convinced my wife... The good news is that it looks GREAT, and operates seamlessly connected to the HDMI2 output from the Mac Mini. I didn't have any success trying to connect it via USB-C. As others have said, the directions suck, but if you've half a mind, it isn't hard to figure out how to put it together. Be aware, this thing is heavy and awkward to get to the back ports once you have it in place. The curved screen took a bit to get use to - like the first day or so of getting a new pair of glasses. But now it feels fine. Another unexpected plus was that my iPhone panoramic pics look almost normal on this curved screen. One thing that I became aware of was that because I was moving from a two monitor setup to a single ultra wide, I had to move my mouse more often to get to the top menu of a program (which was sitting top left of the screen like it should). On a two monitor setup, the menu options are replicated on both monitors (even if they're not mirroring), so if you have something on the right monitor, you can access it's menu options right above it. On the ultra wide, if you have a program sitting on the right side of the monitor, you have to go all the way to the top left of the screen to get to the menu options. It's a work flow thing, and certainly nothing to really complain about. Bottom line - I love this monitor and am very glad that I added it to my rig and workflow. ... show more

  • WOW! Replaced my dual 22" monitors for this single monitor
I was running two 22" LCD monitors for many years and one of the monitor was starting to have issues. I researched ultra wide monitors for a long time. After hearing about some of the newer monitors that are including KVM's within them, that is when I got more serious about making the switch. I had a KVM under my desk and hated the rats nest of cabling. I finally narrowed the monitor selection down to a 43" or 49", but then after measuring my desk, I had to go 43". The setup was easy. It is a little awkward to move such a large monitor, but once you cable it all up, there isn't much you need to touch or move afterwards. From the monitor out, I have: -- A display port cable and a USB-C to A cable going to my primary desktop machine. -- A USB-C Thunderbolt cable going to my Dell Latitude laptop. -- A USB Keyboard (wired) -- A USB mouse (wired) -- A USB Webcam The USB-C Thunderbolt cable runs video and power to my Dell laptop. The monitor acts as a USB hub and connects my KB, Mouse, and webcam all to this laptop. I can change sources using the Source button, or I could split the screens and have both systems projecting on half of the screen. Then use the USB Switch button to toggle the accessories between the two systems. I love that I was able to clean up the cabling and really love that I have a lot more desktop screen to work with. ... show more

  • Almost a great Monitor
The image and size of this monitor are amazing and makes work EZ with a very wide screen, just slightly over 13 inches tall by about 41 1/2 inches wide. if games you play support the extra size it looks great, takes a bit to get used to but not long. The biggest issue I have with this monitor is it plays up its KVM support, but it's pretty much worthless, you must be in PiP mode and there is no easy way to switch between screens, you cannot have just one screen on display using KVM. I would say if your primary reason to select this monitor is the KVM then don't bother with this one. Update: after a lot of messing around with some configurations I was able to get the KVM to work without the PiP setup. I used 1 HDMI and 1 Displayport, the PC has 3 other USB C ports, one called PC in, the other 2 called USB-C 1 and USB C-2. if I use my PC with the Display Port and plug my PC USB port into the PC IN port and the laptop HDMI with USB plugged into USB-C 2, then go into the setting on the monitor and adjust the USB ports so the match to the configuration. Now I can plug in my Mouse and Keyboard into the USB Down ports on the monitor when I swap screens it takes a while but it will eventually swap display and ports. Sorry if that is confusing, but it will work. ... show more

  • This monitor is incredible!
I have had this monitor for close to a week...and it is incredible! I've had trouble getting the USB switch working on my Fedora and RHEL laptops (I will err on the side of me missing something stupid) - also I was unable to get sound out of the monitor's speakers - again this could be my linux setup or me just doing the wrong thing. I did have some reservations regarding total horizontal pixels as my laptop plus 2 monitors had more pixels: it's a total non-issue! Just having one large monitor is a game changer! You do have to get use to not dragging a monitor to a window and maximizing for that window...but it's well worth it. I tend to write most of my code in Netbeans - having the whole monitor for my IDE is insane (in a good way). And using it when debugging - awesome. I do a ton of teleconferencing with Blue Jeans - another "awesome" mark there! You can comfortably have 4 windows side by side very comfortably. I am unable to get 120hz refresh with a display port cable...I get 100hz with both HDMI and display port - this could be my linux machine or my new Ivanky cable. 100hz is definitely nice - so no complaints. The resolution, colors, etc are fantastic... A warning, the USB ports on the back: if you have a dongle (for example a wireless keyboard dongle), it can inadvertently slip inside the monitor. There is a small lip near where the USB ports are located...with juuuust enough space for a dongle to fall into the monitor. And of course, I did this and can't get the dongle out. All in all, I find this monitor to be incredible - I don't regret getting it... Definitely worth every penny... ... show more

  • The KING of all monitors! Wow!
Just got my new Samsung 43" widescreen curved monitor and it is incredible! From the moment the box arrived, I was blown away by the sheer size of the screen - it is super long, but also very thin, and short. Not like a 43" TV - much more appropriate for a desktop as a computer monitor. The setup was a breeze - after screwing in 4 screws, and tightening two more, I was up and running in less than 5 minutes. The first time the monitor powered on I was amazed by how vivid the display was - the colors all look great on this HD screen. I am a mac user, so Iw as able to download some free software to help me organize the screen into different tiles so I could very easily and cleanly see all of my active windows and applications. In terms of the curved-ness of the monitor, this is the first curved monitor I have ever used but I quickly got used to it, and am really starting to appreciate it. Completely eliminates the need for a second or 3rd monitor (which I've always had). It has tons of ports available on the back including HDMI, USB-C, and others. Right now I am just using the HDMI but I'm sure down the road I will have the need for others. It slso has built in audio which has sounded very good so far on a few video conference calls I've had. To be honest, the ONLY thing I miss is not having a built in webcam on the monitor , but this can be easily solved for about $20 on Amazon where many compatible webcams are available and they easily can stick on the top of the monitor. All in all, as usual, Samsung does NOT disappoint and it's products are always extremely high quality and reliable! I am a fan for life! ... show more

  • Not A Gamer. Amazon Warehouse Purchase. Very Satisfied.
I literally just received and installed this monitor in my office. Immediate satisfaction. First. I am not a gamer. This one will be used for office work involving Word, Excel, web browsers, etc. But I had trouble finding non-gamer reviews so I wanted to be sure to provide one. The monitor is connected to an HP zBook that is less than a year old with a Ivanky DisplayPort cable (10ft). My computer picked it up immediate and suggested a resolution. I was up and running very quickly. Warning. Unless you have seen one of these in person, it is bigger than you think. I do not have any regrets on the size, but it is BIG. And the box is large and awkward to carry. Can't even imagine the 49" monitors. I purchased this one through Amazon Warehouse. It was described as "Like New" in Original Packaging and Packaging was Damaged. Honestly, it looked like any large box you would pick up in person. Some wear on the ends, but not crushed or torn. The box had been resealed. It appears someone opened it, looked at the monitor, and closed it up. All cables accounted for. The stand parts were still factory wrapped. There is some backlight bleed-through at the bottom edge in the center. Hasn't really bothered me yet. Did not notice any other issues with the display. Hope this helps the rest of you trying to decide to make the leap to Ultrawide. ... show more

  • Samsung 43" CJ890 Is an awesome monitor with ton's of capabilities!
I've been using this monitor since Feb 2020. I continue to push the monitor's functionality. The USB hub is awesome. I originally had my macbook pro (2013) going to a multi port dock and that into my monitor via HDMI. I could access all of the peripherals and external SSD Drive easily through the USB hub. I recently bought a new Macbook Pro with Thunderbolt ports and wanted to ditch the multi dock and go straight to the monitor. I wanted the quicker response the the USB Hub, to charge my mac and reduce the number of cables. I was so happy when it all worked using the included cables with the monitor. I have since found a longer thunderbolt cable and have had great success. This monitor is clear, fast and responsive. I use this for business as well as recording in my studio. The size is perfect for me and I like that it has the Split screen and PIP functionality but I do not use this very often. The built in speakers are not half bad for monitor speakers. It has great cable management as well. If you are looking for a ultrawide monitor with a ton of options, this has everything. I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Possibly best productivity investment I have made
I use a MacBook primarily for Corporate work but I have a Desktop PC for personal use and things like video editing, gaming, kids use, etc. I like having a secondary display attached to my MacBook when working on certain tasks so I was maintaining two separate desk setups in my office. One two monitor setup for my PC (handy for video editing), and a single monitor plus USB-C dock for my MacBook Pro. This amazing monitor from Samsung eliminated much of this setup and I am now down to a single monitor on my desk. Being able to switch the primary source to either my MacBook or the PC and utilize all 43" while sharing the same wireless keyboard/mouse is amazing (I do keep an external touchpad that is connected to my MacBook via bluetooth in case I want to use it). However, being able to go split screen with both the PC and Mac being displayed at the same time and swap the keyboard/mouse back and forth with a simple button press took this setup over the top for me. Oh, and the monitor also being able to charge my MacBook pro while connected is an added bonus. Very glad I made the investment, it was worth every penny. Now I just have to figure out what I do with all of this unneeded equipment (3 monitors, USB-C dock, monitor arms, etc.) that this single monitor has rendered unneeded. ... show more
