  • The perfect monitor to get into 1440p gaming!
Got this monitor to replace my old acer 3D monitor. The feature 3D on the monitor should tell you how long ago I purchased a monitor. So I'm expecting a nice longitivy with this monitor. I've only had it for about 4 days so I'll leave that part out for now. Now I consider myself a hardcore gamer as I put in anywhere from 60-90 hrs a week just gaming. Moving up to 1440p has been great games look much better but I quickly found that my 1070 can't play all my games at ultra settings but visually it still looks amazing. Now I play zero competitive games honestly dont care for it. So that may affect some for this review. But for me as a single player only type gamer this monitor had zero tearing, zero lag, zero flickering, and no issues with ghosting. The monitor has 144hz but me turning all my games to the highest settings I was lucky if i broke 100 fps most my games stayed around 60-80 fps. Some even dropped to 30s or 40s so again I want to stress I'm not a competitive player so this had no affect on me. So of course all the positives I just said this monitor could do with no issues. HDR is ok on it but didn't expect much and it's not a feature I would use anyways. Now the VESA mount it does work for the G5 however, make sure you use the rubber washers included in your monitor arm if you use one. When I first tried to set this up the placement of the 75x75 made it difficult because of the round backing. So the rubber washers helped lift it up just a bit so that the VESA mount was perfect. Now I didn't have any dead pixels another plus with this monitor and the backlight bleed for me was hardly noticeable so plus again. The 1000r curve made me completely fine with losing 3D as I'm in the minority who loves 3D gaming along with 3D movies. But after seeing the curve and how it works I'm perfectly fine with losing that feature now. Overall, I'm very happy with this monitor especially since I was able to nab this at $200 which I dont know of any 1440p 144hz you can get at that price so as long as this monitor can give me 5+ years I'm going to recommend anyone who is not a competitive player to grab this. ... show more

  • Perfect
I don't write reviews much but felt that this one needed it. I was temporarily using an old 24 in monitor that is well outdated but was a great size and when purchased was top of the line (10+ years ago). Building a new computer needed a new monitor and I occasionally play some FPS games. Purchased this for multiple reasons including space and price. 4K sounded great till cost is calculated for usage. 32 inch sounds good till you hold up a tape measure and realize it will take up my ENTIRE desk (it is smaller). Pulling it out of the box, I thought I might have made a large mistake. It looked a little smaller than I expected and the curve felt a bit odd. Plug it in and start using it and you realize that it was everything you wanted. Fits perfect, looks perfect, games perfect (for me). So yes, buy this one if your looking for a reasonably sized quality monitor for a good price that can handle anything you need. ... show more

  • Great Overall with some downsides | 7.5/10
I have had this monitor for roughly 2 months now and It has been great. The picture quality is fantastic compared to my old BenQ (XL2411P) and when compared to friends, it seems to be better and more vibrant. Although this monitor is great, there are 3 big downsides. Biggest and most important, its very fragile and flimsy. I have it sitting on a monitor riser and even typing this I can see the monitor shaking badly. Highly recommended a mount or a very, very large separated surface for this monitor. Secondly, the overall size of this monitor is crazy. The base and legs are 16in-18in across, even vertically is quite long. Not only is this a space issue but it also causes part of the flimsiness I had talked about. Third but not nearly as important, there are some monitor settings that are just missing in my opinion. On my BenQ there were TONS of color and vibrancy options and you could fine tune it so much. With this G5, you still can but there is a hell of a lot less to pick from as far as customization goes. Overall, its great but If you are looking to fine tune it to your EXACT liking, this may not be for you. Overal 7.5/10 ... show more

  • Amazing for gaming and 3d art
This is an amazing monitor to use for gaming, art, and entertainment. It is life changing going from 60hz 1080p to going to 120hz 1440p. Seeing more frames and having a clearer resolution makes your reaction times in games like Valorant, CS:GO, DOOM Eternal, and other shooters much more faster after getting used to it of course. I also use this monitor as my primary monitor for using 3d modeling software such as Blender. Having a bigger screen means having a bigger workspace for the models and the effects. For other forms of digital art you have a larger canvas to look at. Lastly, for entertainment such as videos and movies, if the resolution of the media can go to 1440p it is great, if not, then 1080p is what you get. This is a great monitor for productivity, highly recommend for anyone for anything! ... show more

  • Great Picture Quality
The first monitor I purchased had three issues; 1) The plastic port molding was out of position making it impossible to plug any of the cables in. I was able to straighten it out. 2) The screen would just go black for unknown reasons even though I had 4k certified cables. 3) Eventually the control panel just stopped functioning so I could no longer make any changes. Everything was disabled and I was no longer able to get a picture. Luckily the return had not yet been exceeded. I exchanged the monitor and the new one I received turned out to be great! It works well, looks and performs great. No bad pixels. Blacks, colors and contrast look amazing even if you aren't using HDR. Performance is excellent and responsive at 2560x1440 144hz. I am not one of those people that analyze every aspect of picture quality such as light bleed because I am just not that picky, so if you are looking for information such as that I can't offer you anything. ... show more
