Due to the popularity of our other Koi pocket field sketch box sets, Sakura has expanded the Koi collection to include a wider color selection in this larger 60 color studio set. Keep this larger set close by in your studio for a quick splash of color and to create deep washes for backgrounds. Or bring it along to add details to portraits and plain air landscapes in the outdoors. Great for adding color to comics, illustrations, and lettering projects. The rich color assortment offers the choice to create bold hues or soft and subtle shades. The numerous color options of the palette will save you time from having to blend custom colors. With the convenience of such a wide assortment of paint colors the possibilities are endless. Koi watercolor studio sets have the ACMI AP seal of approval, and are recommended for ages 14 & over. Set includes 2 refillable Koi 9ml water brushes to transport and store water (one 2 small round brush and one 6 medium round brush), and 2 sponges. The water brush technical qualities are polypropylene, transparent barrel and nib holder section, nylon fibers for brush tip, please keep cap and plug away from small children. Two palettes come with this set, one on reverse side of the top lid, and the other is a removable inner tray. Set opens & closes with sliding side latches, and consists of 60 half pan watercolors.

This paints that is definitely more for having fun,not to do anything that’s going to be hung up and you want it to last for hundreds of years. With that being said these paints in my opinion are beautiful the laydown is lovely don’t expect to have professional laydown or a professional look to it but with these paints you will get a beautiful piece out of these paints every time. I started out with a smaller‘s travel set set and I wound up getting the larger one I also own more professional paint sets but still find time and want to find time to play with these the case is durable and sturdy it has a lock feature when it’s closed so it won’t open up when you store it the pallet that comes with it is a wonderful size you have plenty of space to mix although with all the paint colors you might not need all that space . This is a great set as long as you’re need is more along the line of sketchbook/junk journal/card making you won’t be disappointed. ... show more

I recommend using these as a step up for artists who want a budget watercolor palette and are experienced in watercolors! It's also great for beginners; it's very pigmented and offers a large range of colors to experiment with!

Great watercolors! Wish they weren’t so pricey but good product. Only a select few colors don’t translate well but other than that, I love them. They are half pan, meaning you get a VERY small little dish of each color but a little goes a long way. Happy painting !
