    • The final step!
I am a skin care junky for life and I've used it all. This cream is not overly hydrating even though it is very thick. The magic of this cream is that it locks in all the layers of your other skin care and prevents the moisture from leaving your skin! It's totally great to use even in hot temps, because it's not greasy at all. I was using all the kikumasamune products and having texture issues with my skin until I began finishing with this cream both morning and night. Highly recommend!!! Also want to note I am very acne prone and was super worried about the mineral oil in this cream but I am thrilled to report that it has only had a positive effect on my skin! ... show more

Wonderful product. I used many different brand name and normal brand skin care products. Now I only use 菊正宗. First my skin T zone area is super sensitive. I used SK - 2 but still sensitive. I used weleda skin food . Good but still sensitive when the weather changes . My skin is always keeping moisture all the time and clear and healthy and softy . This product works amazingly, but do not be mislead by people who either can't smell or are outright liars. This stuff smells STRONGLY like nigori sake. You will smell like a sake distillery if you put too much of this on, and it is unbearable on your face as the odor is overwhelming. As something to put on before bed (neck down) it is great, but this is NOT suitable as a face cream or a daytime lotion. ... show more

I’ve been using this for a couple of years and I’ll definitely keep it in my arsenal until Amazon stops selling this (I hope they never do). I have oily/combo skin and it’s not as emollient as some reviewers are concerned with. I live in NY, so I like to use this product in the evening (the air can be a little dry in the winter). Very thick, so I use it on days when I really need the moisture or are trying to repair my moisture barrier. Despite being so thick, it doesn’t leave my face oilier or break me out (I have oily, acne-prone skin). Otherwise, a good quality and inexpensive body cream. Heavy sake scent initially.
