Saint Terra Oatmeal Melt and Pour Soap Base is made from natural ingredients in the United States. Our oatmeal soap Our oatmeal soap is made with white soap base and has great lather along with a crunchy oat look. Hypo-allergenic, non-comedogenic, biodegradable, soy free, no SLS or SLES, non-GMO, no animal testing. Ingredients: Coconut oil, palm oil, safflower oil, glycerine (kosher, of vegetable origin), purified water, oatmeal, sodium hydroxide (saponifying agent), sorbitol, propylene glycol (made from vegetable glycerine), sorbital oleate (emulsifier), oat protein, titanium dioxide (mineral whitener used in opaque soaps).

    • I was hoping it would be more gritty textured while soap was in use
The media could not be loaded. So this soap isn’t bad. I docked a star because I thought it having oatmeal it would have more a of a gritty grain like texture when the soap was in use. The soap pictured is a mixture of this terra oatmeal and clear glycerin soap.

I'm not new to soap making. I've made my own cold process as well as used melt n pour bases like this for a while. The oatmeal soap base by Saint Terra is really good. I've bought the expensive stuff from two very well known specialty soap making suppliers, and this matches or exceeds the oatmeal bases from them. It takes scent and mica colors well, melts and moulds smoothly, cures quickly, and is a delight to work with. I use both pure essential oils and fragrance oils incase you were curious. In use, it suds up nicely with a smooth creamy lather, rinses clean, and isn't drying or harsh on my sensitive skin. Would recommend for novice and experienced soap makers alike. ... show more

I absolutely loved this soap base. I needed a base I can use to make my 8 month old ‘breast milk soap’ bars. I decided on this one because of the oatmeal and I am so happy with it. The smell is so soft but amazing. It was easy to melt and just overall easy to use!

    • Hardens quickly
I am new to soap making so I cant give this a great review or a terrible review. However, I did notice that this soap base was difficult to melt down and hardened extremely fast. So fast that most of the soap was left in the bowl as I was pouring into the mold. I had to remelt the soap in the bowl and pour it on top of the already poured soap. Because the base hardened so quickly my soaps ended up breaking at the partition where I poured the second time. However, this basendis not have the strong alcohol smell of another brand I've used before (which resulted in me not having to pour an entire bottle of fragrance oil into the batch which is great). ... show more
