I am definitely no rookie when it comes to electrical stuff, I build furniture, remodel homes etc., I have all kind of tools you can imagine...well, this light fixture is a complete NIGHTMARE. It took me 3 hours to assemble it and install it. The wires need to be all connected, every single light! Ok, no problem. Every single "crystal" needs to be assembled, and whatever you call crystal looks like cheap piece of plastic. Your website states the best way to test a crystal is with fire...well I tried, it turned black. I have cuts all over my fingertips from opening and closing the very thin rings that connect the so called crystals. Forget the instructions, just confusing, if you are somehow handy and have installed other chandeliers use your common sense and it will save you time. The glass base that goes at the bottom was broken, again no problem, I tossed it, the chandelier looks better without. As I said I am pretty handy so I managed to make it look good removing extra pieces here and there but it's way too much of an hassle for the price. It's the IKEA version of a chandelier. I bought one from another vendor and it's a complete different story, heavy real crystal, 10 minutes to install...and guess what? Same price. ... show more

    • Horrible directions to put this thing together and extremely difficult with damaged/missing parts

Very difficult to put together even though it's beautiful. I got one crystal that is all scratched up and damaged and immediately emailed the seller. I finally got a response a week later and I was told a replacement part will arrive from China. I finally got the replacement a month later in the mail. It took a while to receive the replacement but it's okay because I put the crystal where it wasn't noticeable. I've also discovered missing screws/bolts. I've been working on this chandelier for 2 days with my husband. Because of the missing part that's part of the electrical wiring, I had to rig the old wiring from the old chandelier and put it on this one to make it work. The easiest part was putting the crystals on but the directions for where to put the crystals were off and I had to google search correct directions and placement. If you follow the directions on the crystals, you'll end up with the crystals on the bottom arms extend too taunt when they are supposed to curve. Some reviews show how the crystal strings on the bottom are straight when they are supposed to slack. Well, I'm done with putting it together. The whole assembly directions were so awful that I almost returned this twice but because the price was so good, I kept at it. In the end, just use your judgment and realize that if you follow the directions closely, you'll mess up. You have to Google search videos and instructions. Good luck! Beautiful chandelier though. I'm glad that I finally got that replacement even though it took a month. I found another broken crystal but I'm glad it was an extra because it was just that one. There are no spares. I'm betting this set was a return because it was missing a couple things and because of the 2 damaged crystals ... show more

This is a very lovely chandelier for the price. I shopped around quite a bit to find a silver finish chandelier that wasn't too large or tall, or ridiculously expensive. The crystals are real. The only thing I would say that seems a little cheap are the loops where you connect the strands of crystals. On a more expensive chandelier (see the close up picture, along with a comparison picture to Schonbek) these would be closed loops, but these are long thready metal pieces that can pop out, and also be seen if you look closely. Nevertheless, for the price, this is a very nice copy of the Grace chandelier at Lamps Plus for $499. I am very picky about quality, as I have purchased from and returned a couple chandeliers to Amazon. This one brings the right amount of elegance and sparkle to my breakfast nook. ... show more

Wow! This chandelier is prettier in person than in the pictures. I love the chrome put into the design. It gives an updated look to a classic light fixture, but still feels classy. So glad I got this one! Be prepared for assembly to take a while. Putting 50+ crystal strings on takes a lot longer than you think. Well worth the effort though!     • Nice looking chandelier, difficult assembly

Now that it's assembled, this is a really nice looking fixture. I installed it in my daughter's bedroom and she's overjoyed by how great it looks. Although it's a great product now, I reduced my rating by one star because of the difficulty and large amount of frustration I experienced during assembly. While attaching the S-shaped pieces to the ring at the top center, the screws wouldn't align properly. The curve of the S-shape did not meet up well with the center ring and I had to do some bending and forcing to get them all attached. In the end, a couple of the screws fit only loosely like the threads are partially stripped. It's staying together, but if my daughter decides to hang things from her chandelier or otherwise mess with it, it may come apart. ... show more
