The tray table is simple to assemble, which is a good thing because the instructions are useless. The table is sturdy and strong so I don’t worry about my three 40 pound dogs knocking it over. I really like the leg design of this table. Since the legs join the top at the back of the table, it’s easy to slide into a chair without worrying about avoiding front legs. The adjustable height feature is important to a short person. The recessed slot (for a laptop or ipad) works great as a pen or pencil holder. The cup holder is too shallow to hold a tall water bottle or cup, but is fine for a heavy coffee cup. There’s even a slot on one side for the handle of your cup. I highly recommend this tray table. Worth every penny! If you use a tray table like this regularly this one is hands down the best out there. Super sturdy, a textured top and solid. The collapsible cheaper models are probably adequate for infrequent use. The only trade off and it isn't really is that it's not collapsible. That's what gives the tray it's strength and sturdiness. I agree with those who cited the assembly issues. First, the instructions are illegible - 6pt type, grey print on white glossy paper, basically just not readable. Plus, both the diagrams and written directions are very very poor. I sort of figured it out myself and then referred to the instructions to confirm what I did. I was ready to give it 2 or 3 stars at that point, very frustrating. But it's a sturdy table and I needed a C table that is in front of me, not to the side like the one I currently have. And I do like the slot for a tablet. The table tilt feature is nice but limited. There are only 2 settings - flat or very tilted - no variability in between. It really needs one in between the two or wherever you want to stop it. I will probably put a fabric or leather cover over the grey plastic because it's unattractive and cheap looking. ... show more

I purchased this table for my mother to use for her meals at the nursing home. The adjustable height and open and slanted design allows the table base to slide under her recliner bringing her meal closer and easier to reach than when using a standard tv tray. The table is sturdy, yet light-weight making it easy for helpers to move out of the way. It is also attractive and easy to clean. While she does not use the cup holder or the tilt option, these are nice features for those who will. The only negative is the price which seems high for the product but in the end is worth it if it makes it easier for my mom to eat. It could be a deterrent for those who might not be able to afford the price. I looked for quite a while for a solution before finding this table and am very pleased with it.
