These ramekins are large but they do not stack well, as advertised. It would not be possible to stack them more than two high. If so, they would certainly fall over. I use a lot of ramekins in my kitchen, so stacking is an important feature for me. As for the color, they are very light, almost more powder blue than turquoise. The entire exterior is very smooth, even the petal-shaped edges. This makes them a bit slippery, especially if you are using gloves to handle them when they are hot.
