I've had this in pink for several months now, carrying it everywhere I go, and it looks brand new. I dropped it on concrete one time while carrying groceries and it didn't even scratch it. It is 100% worth the money even though it's a bit expensive at $49. You get what you pay for and this is important to me so I paid for the best one I could find that I could carry. I use it to keep my medications safe and locked up. The dimensions are perfect for something like this. There's no lack of space, in my opinion, with this box. I carry it everywhere and I've only gotten compliments on how awesome it is. Nobody's ever asked "why are you carrying around a safe" they're more like "that's awesome where did you get that?" It's impossible to break into without a passcode or key, even an adult, unless someone stole it and smashed it. I expected it to be much easier to break into but we tried as a test and couldn't do it. So no child could ever get into it and an adult would likely have to use a hammer to break into it. That's how sturdy it is. It comes with 2 keys, if you lose both they will send you an extra one. However, it's easy to keep the extra key in a safe place to not lose both. I added a picture so you can see the size of it compared to a typical water bottle (a pint or .9 FL OZ). It's not too big and not too small. It's an attractive size and if you're buying this to keep medicine safe and away from kids I can say this is perfect for it. I will use it at the beach for my phone, wallet, and keys as well soon. They all fit easily in it. EDIT: So I originally reviewed this item on 1/1/2017. This is an update. 4/22/2018 This case is still as new. I get A LOT of compliments on it and questions of where I bought it. There's not a scratch on it, not on the pink not on the lock, not on the keys, not anywhere. It looks brand new. Everything works perfectly. Have I dropped it? Oh yeah. On a variety of hard & soft surfaces. I just wanted to let anyone reading know, nearly a year later and a half later, it's as new. This product is REALLY useful. I bought two of these for use on a cruise several years ago and have been using them regularly since. So this review comes with years of experience. They're great for being able to leave small articles and my mobile phone at my chair without worrying about someone casually grabbing it. It's also a great way to claim a spot without someone simply "relocating" your items. I LOVE that it has a key in addition to the combination. The key is on a very nice coiled wrist band. It's really fast to get in and I don't need to worry about someone nearby observing the combination. That said, I'm glad it has the combination too. That way I can get into it if I lose the key or give the combo to someone in a pinch. The integrated cable lock is brilliant and makes all the difference. I like these so much, I'm giving them as gifts to my inner circle. While this is a fairly good product it would not stop a pro. Keep that in mind. It mainly deters casual theft and displacement. So don't stuff it full of 100 dollar bills. As I said, I use it for my mobile phone, room key, car keys, small amounts of cash, and a credit card. To make it perfect, I'd make it just a little bit larger to accommodate today's larger mobile phones. My note 8 fits but I need to take it out of its case and center it in the safe where the safe is tallest. Other than that, I'd make it just a little more resistant to break in. It's not possible to stop a pro without features that would make this very bulky or expensive. Bu a few tweaks would be good. Make no mistake. This is a great product as it is. I used this on my most recent trip, it worked amazingly. It’s durable and roomy. Upon receipt I had some issue with the lock and reached out to the company for help, although the response times were quite delayed and required some follow up my issue was satisfactorily resolved. I have had my eye on this for years, and I finally forked over the money for it. I wish I’d gotten it years ago. Hubs and I love to travel. We usually bring a fair amount of cash with us for tipping and drinks, etc., and I don’t love hotel safes because I know they’re fairly easy to get into. This makes me feel secure on vacation. We can keep our cash and small valuables and tether it to somewhere in the room or to a beach chair if we’re out and about. This is the excellent item, that saves me from the worry at the beach. I put inside our car keys, two iPhones, two pairs of eyeglasses, and still there is some room. I try to discreetly attach it to the beach chair and cover with the towel. You should argue that someone can take a chair and cut the cord later, but it will be too big hassle : ). What I want is to have (in addition to the lock box safe) an additional longer cord, so I could keep two chairs together, but this probably will make the item even more expensive. The lock works fine. I used it weekly for two months and it works like new. I set a new password using the enclosed instruction' it was very easy to do. I am very glad that I bought this model. There are a lot of the competitors on the market, but this safe is very light, sturdy, and can be used as temporary purse when we are going from the beach for a lunch. We have it in dark blue color which I like. If you need to keep your things at the beach relatively safe while you are going for a swim, then I highly recommend this lock box safe. ... show more
