A friend of mine recommended this brand to me, so I bought a few packages and it has been an excellent, healthy alternative to canned tuna. I love the flavor, great for sandwiches, salads, or any other culinary dish you can put tuna into, and the texture was good for me too. I love the mercury testing, and all the health benefits this tuna specifically offers, it helps to offset the ost, which was already reasonable anyway. I suppose if mercury levels freak you out, this would be worth the price but I was expecting a larger packet/amount for this cost. The flavor is very salty/intense, which in of itself may not be a bad thing for you so the quality is certainly there but I am not sure this justifies the double-the-price-tag for me. I'd like to give it 3 stars but I don't think cost alone should be the reason to decrease their rating. 4 stars bc I don't thinks its enough product for what you spend. ... show more

Great product but overhyped, the packaging says the fish are tested to have less than 0.1 ppm of mercury which means the mercury content can be anywhere form 0.10 to 0.19 ppm while skipjack tuna generally has around 0.13 ppm so do not assume this brand to have significantly less mercury than other skipjack tuna. Nevertheless, it’s worth noting that their testing probably catches the “bad apples”, the fish that have unusually higher mercury than others. The taste is strong yet pleasant but a little bit dry (even if you knead the package as instructed) so you might consider adding your own olive oil to It. I use these single servings often. I like that I can take it wherever I may go. I also like the low mercury content of the tuna.

I eat tuna about 4 times a week as an easy lunch on the go. I decided to try a better grade and the low mercury made the price worth trying. I really like this tuna and will continue to buy.
