HDYEGY Saddle Rack 4 Tier Wall Mounted Saddle Rack Review If you ride horses long enough you eventually seem to end up with a bunch of saddles. And so it is with me. My old floor-standing racks were taking up too much room so I ordered this rack to get the racks off the floor and add a couple more spots for extra saddles. You can add up to four of the provided racks as you desire, but the racks are not adjustable in height, like some better ones I've viewed. There are just four fixed moounting slots—take it or leave it. Note: One aspect that is not noticeable on the photos is that there is a decided rise on each rack from back to front. A good three inches. This makes the saddles sit against the backing wall better, but does make it a bit harder to put the top-most saddle on its rack. And if you mount this unit so that the bottom rack is about the height of the average portable folding saddle rack (about 34-36”) then you will need a step ladder to get to that top rack unless you are Wilt Chamberlin! Now, I was not expecting precision fabrication of the materials, but this rack is rather poorly manufactured. The squared upright ends were not cut on the square. The top and bottom halves of the upright post do not fit together snugly and there are dents and dings (that may have come about during shipping). One aspect I was really disappointed in was that the racks fit the post in a really loose, sloppy manner. It would be easy to grab the saddle wrong, get it caught up in the rack, and pull the rack right off the post. So I added a couple of screws to each rack so as to affix them to the upright post (see photo). This made the unit feel much sturdier. Does this rack hold all four saddles OK? Yes. Are the manufacturing defects noticeable when the rack is loaded up? No, not really. So does it matter? Only in that for the money it makes the rack feel on the cheap side. I have seen similar—and even the same rack—selling for less and better ones selling for more. So this price is in the ballpark for what you’d expect to pay. But the company should really watch their quality control if they want to build a good reputation. ... show more

Do not try to use in a trailer! The racks all collapsed going down the highway and I had saddles everywhere when I opened the door. Made WAY TO CHEAP!!!!

I used this rack in my bumper pull trailer. I had quality western saddles on it and they bent and broke while hauling. I did like the spacious spacing. However, it maybe better for saddle pads. I used self tapping screws instead of the included screws. I didn’t want it to come out the other side of my trailer. The screws held it was the he actual bars that bent. First off, this thing DOES feel very heavy duty, and includes some massive bolts for securing it to your wall. BUT!, the price they are asking is way more than this thing is worth in my opinion. Mine came dented in the box, even though the box itself was in perfect condition, which tells me it was abused at the factory before being boxed. Kinda pitiful QA right there. The saddle racks slide into the main beam, but don't secure in any way. So when hefting a saddle from the lower ones, you can bump the one above it and pop it out of the socket sending that rack and saddle to the ground. The main beam has a T shape for securing it to the wall, but the T is so wide it won't fit most standard studs in modern stables or barns. It'll work on massive 6x6 or 8x8 main beams, but it's a bit too wide for even 4x4s. You can technically use it as a 4-saddle rack, or use it as two 2-saddle racks by simply not connecting it in the center, so that was nice. Has some problems, but the listing does show exactly what you are getting. I'd probably not recommend this particular one to others, though.
