  • Changed my periods
This product is amazing. I know most people won't believe me but I have never written a product review before. But felt like I should, after many months of using saalt disc. I was so sick of changing tampons everytime I went to the bathroom. I have gi issues so I go to the bathroom more often that most and that either means changing tampons all the time because they come out or using pads ( I hate the mess). Changing tampons all the time hurts, causing rubbing. This disc has changed my life. No mess. I check it in the morning, mid day and night on heavy flow days and then less on reg flow days. No mess. I have worn it while having sex. Yes my husband could feel it but no mess. It is messy when taking out or putting it definitely makes up for it. If. You have a bidet it is easier. I have no idea why more people aren't using this product. I have had 2 kids, it does fall out like other things when using the restroom. I love it. ... show more

  • Great Option For Post-Vaginal Delivery Periods
Color: Regular Blue & Small Coral Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
After 3 vaginal deliveries and some, according to my pelvic floor physical therapist, "minor prolapse" I despaired of finding a reusable option for periods. I had tried cups in the past and they all seemed uncomfortable and would slip out, like as soon as I put them in it felt like they were being pushed out. For me, some days on my period it's difficult to get a small tampon up there. After some research I came across the Saalt disc and decided to give it a try. I got the double pack and I'm glad I did. It gave me the option to try two sizes and get a better feel for what works with my own body. I prefer the smaller pink disc most of the time, but on heavier days when my cervix isn't so low the larger one works well. Totally depends on the day which is best but I could use either any day. With the disc all you do is insert it and tuck it behind your bubic bone. There's no twisting to get it to suction and making sure it's high enough for the tail to not stab at your perineal tear scar tissue. It does take some time to get the hang of it, I wondered if it was tucked behind the bone enough, but with no problems I assume that whatever I'm doing is correct. The design is nice with the little tab to help get it out, although it's not necessary. Not sure why they decided to put grooves on the inside for the wavy look, but it's not a huge hassle to wash off if you've just taken it out. I haven't experienced leaking, although on heavier days when I empty it mid-day I have noticed a little spotting that seems to be more from the process of removal-dump-reinsert than actual leakage. I've read that the auto-dump with discs is a convenient side-effect of a not-perfect fit. Some days I notice it, usually not. Probably just depends on where everything is at in your pelvis that day. Period-related mess-free sex, yes. Husband didn't really notice it during intercourse, although he said it was very noticeable during foreplay with fingers but not in a bad way. I hadn't mentioned anything about being on my period because I wanted to test how sex would go with the disc in. He was surprised when he came across it since this thing is so great and easy to use he hadn't even realized I was on my period. It was a mess AFTER unprotexted sex when I emptied it. Nothing to do about that, sex itself is messy. No issues with my IUD. Overall, yes, buy it. If you're not sure about the size and can swing the money, get both. It's comfortable, works well, and will last a long time. Some days I forget I'm on my period, it's great. ... show more

  • Perfect beginner disc!
Color: Sunset Coral Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
As someone just getting into the world of menstrual products besides pads and tampons, I watched and read through so many reviews. But that honestly only helps so much because everyone’s different and even though a lot of these products are “one size fits all”, it may not be the best fit. Cups scare me but the disc just seemed easier to use and to remove. I like the lack of suction and that you don’t have to pull on it to get it out. Once I decided on a disc, finding the right one was daunting. So many options. I’ve tried the Cora disc and I liked it but after the first day I could constantly feel it and it just hurt to put in and take out. Then I saw the Saalt disc and it had the same notch design that I loved on the Cora disc but it came in a smaller version so I decided to try it and it might be the best thing I’ve ever tried. (See pics, it’s honestly SO small) I think for younger people like myself, and people new to discs, the small sized Saalt cup is a great place to start. It’s super easy to insert. The instructions are detailed but I recommend looking up a YouTube video for tips to make it easier. Once it’s in, you can’t feel it at all. The downside of the smaller one is that it doesn’t hold as much so the first couple days of my period I had to empty it a couple times throughout the day but it’s no harder to do than changing a tampon (for me at least this one has great auto dumping and it empties itself at least halfway once it’s full when you use the bathroom) and with this you can sleep with it in for 12 hours so that’s a big plus as well. Taking it out can be harder but the shower is probably the easiest way to do it and since you can leave it in so long I’d just do it at the end of the day. Honestly an amazing product. Great quality. Doesn’t stain (I rinse it with hot water every time I empty it and leave it in boiling water for a few minutes at the beginning and end of the cycle so that helps). The packaging is so nice, I love the carrying bag it comes with. Also a wonderful brand that donates towards period care to places that need it. I’d definitely recommend trying it! If you’re new to it then definitely start here and if you’ve had issues with others then I’d definitely try this one as well. ... show more
