  • Good starter set
Color: Spring
Honesty, I bought this kit because all of the others I wanted were out of stock for another month or so. These weren’t my favorite color selections (the green is random with the other two) but my son and I had so much fun with this set. We had a few old white T-shirt’s and I bought two new ones for us and we had such a fun morning. I will add you will NOT get anywhere near 12 shirts. After watching tutorials on YouTube most of them added the color to another bottle and diluting with warm water so we did that also, equal parts water and dye and a squeeze bottle. The spray bottle was hard for his little fingers to use (he just turned 4) so the squeeze bottle (washed out sunny D bottle) worked great. It allowed us to make more shirts because I think we would have only gotten three or four shirts from the spray bottle. I did go over some spots with the spray bottle (pure dye) to make it more vibrant. I’d also recommend reading the directions first :) it seems self explanatory but making the shirt damp first and sealing with heat is a must do! Overall, I’d recommend this kit. Still not my favorite color trio but separately or even in pairs they look very nice. Great to start with if you haven’t dyed before. ... show more

  • Product is not worth the money
Color: Camo
I do not usually leave reviews, but this product was terrible. I tie dye regularly, I’m not new to it. I purchased the camo kit because my brother requested those colors specifically. I followed all instructions as given in the insert. As you can tell, the colors do not stick, nor do they look camo once set. The bottles were spray bottles, another downside. I am beyond disappointed and will not be purchasing again. ... show more

  • not worth the money - hard to get through all the layers
Color: Neon
first of all, this says it can make 12 shirts. NOT TRUE. i did 2 shirts (with barely any dye on them), a pair of socks and 2 tanks and ran out of one color, almost out of the other two. the spray aspect of this seems nice, but i found it does not work well. i tried several patterns (spiral, scrunch, regular, and accordion) and spraying the dye on just didnt penetrate the fabric well enough for the patterns to turn out. NONE of the 5 items i did came out the pattern they were meant to come out as because spraying it on just wasnt enough. you need to use the regular squirt bottle technique for it to get through all the the layers. spraying it on only ended up leaving splotches here and there and nothing i made is wearable - the outcome was that bad. so not only did i waste the $11 on this, but all the money on the white clothes. do not buy this - you are much better off with the regular squirt bottles if you want good results. ... show more

  • Terrible for tie dying cloths
Color: Multicolor
I accidentally bought this - didn't realize it was a spray dye. That's my own fault but I figured I would give it a go. The spray bottle actually makes it harder to dye because it sprays all over and it's hard to control what you want to dye. Overall it's actually a longer and more difficult process than normal tie dying. Not that tie dying is all that difficult...You have to dye the wet garment and allow it to completely air dry. Then you have to iron it. Finally you wash it. The dye looked much worse than my normal tie dyed shirts. Faint and faded looking. I have only washed it once but I imagine it will slowly wash out over time. ... show more

  • Messy but fun!!
Color: Neon
I found this product very easy to use. Colors came out bright and only faded a tiny bit after washing. I was able to do 10 masks with a little more than half of each bottle. The only reason I’m dropping a star is because it does drip a little which makes it pretty messy. Easy to clean up on the table, but poses a risk to the clothes you are wearing. Overall I would (and probably will) buy again. ... show more

  • Spray tie dye?
Color: Shibori
I didn't realize what I was getting when I ordered these. It's probably my fault for not reading thoroughly before pressing add to cart. I liked the color combination so I went for it. The directions say you can basically use them like the dye I am used to using, tying up the cloth and spraying it on, but letting it dry and then setting with heat rather than washing the excess out. I was utterly disappointed when I opened up my fabrics after letting them dry to find that the dye only dyed the very top layer that it touched. It did not soak through. I ended up with 1/6 of the fabric dyed rather than most of the fabric dyed. If you are looking to spray dye on, maybe masking off an area and then spraying and then lifting the tape/vinyl off to reveal an undyed area, I can see how this would work well, but it doesn't work like tie dye. I went back and used the dye I'm used to using to re-do the fabrics and I feel better, but I will have to think of something else to do with this spray fabric dye... ... show more

  • Neon ? No. Dries to more a Pastel Neon color.
Color: Neon
Bought this because I've been on a tie dye roll while quarantined at home. It's been fun experimenting. Originally I stuck to using Rit Dye, but found it hard to find a good ratio recipe for SMALL projects. So I thought this would be great to pull out to use on a couple small items (mainly I been dying my own face masks) and then store - ready to use on the next project , seeing as the colors are already mixed and in spray bottles. 1. It IS "easy" to use . (You just spray it like any ol spray bottle) 2. However it is MESSY . Unusually messy, because after maybe 10 sprays my pink bottle's sprayer became clogged and it began to just drip out the sides every time I pressed down on sprayer.... is it broken ? Idk but I haven't figured out how to fix it yet. It's almost UNUSABLE now... after 10 sprays :( sad. 3. Definitely is NOT ENOUGH dye for the "12 shirts" it claims to be enough for. The bottles are small. I would say these are perfect for SMALL items of clothing you want to dye. / small projects. 4. I let the dye set until completely air dried (as reccomend in instructions) and the bright vivid color that initially was sprayed onto my white cotton fabric, lightened in color! It's now more a pastel neon. Not a vivid neon color as it initially LOOKED LIKE. Kinda sad about that. But hey I'm just happy the color stuck at all. (Which was my struggle with using Rit's dye) . I would reccomend this for Beginner Tie Dyers, like myself. It's easy to use. ... show more
