Works great if you take your time. Make sure your trim is extra clean. I used this brands wax and tar remover after I washed the trim at the car wash. Before I painted, I took a clean white towel and wet it with water just to make sure I got all the gunk off the trim. If I had a dirty spot, I went back and cleaned it a second time. Make sure you really shake the paint can and paint on a piece of cardboard to get the paint started, so you don't get any spitting. After everything was dry, I did a very light tack coat after I used some blue painter's tape. It will look uneven and splotchy, which is ok. I let this dry for about 3-4 hours in the sun. I did a second coat to make sure I had full coverage. Standing back from the car will let you easily see the areas that need work. Don't worry if you get a few drip marks! I let it dry again for another 3-4 hours and went back with 120 grit sandpaper wet with water and gently rubbed over these areas. I lightly repainted just those and it turned out great. You can see in the pictures the dramatic difference, between before and after on the trim. ... show more

Wow, what can I say besides...WOW! I bought this paint last year and applied it over a year ago. It has lasted really well in hot southwestern Utah sun. Before I had tried Duplicolor's satin black acrylic enamel and it didn't last as long as this stuff. The Duplicator had started to fade after nine months. This stuff is still going strong. Some people don't like the shiny look, but to me it looks like it was just cleaned even if it has a little dirt on it. This paint cleans up nice too. Here in Utah I use waterless car wash products and this paint has held up to all the chemicals I throw at it. I think that might have what did in the Duplicator (with the hot sun). This was cheaper too. Win win. ... show more

I used this paint for the lower portion of the bumper on my 1999 Ford Expedition 4.6 XLT. The original bumper was a dark grey plastic that didn't look right with this vehicle. I masked off the front of the car and fenders, scuffed up the plastic with coarse steel wool and washed the bumper before painting. One spraycan was just enough to get this portion of my front bumper coated evenly. This paint was easy to apply, I did end up with one spot that dripped but I plan on wet sanding it once the paint is cured. Overall it's decent paint that bonds well to plastic and one can was able to make my 20 year old vehicle look newer and shinier. ... show more

I have a 96 Volvo 850, and I've had this paint on my bumpers and trim for over 5 months now, and it still looks like it did the day I painted it. Amazing stuff. I couldn't be more satisfied. This has been a great product. I wasn't sure on durability though. I have a Chevy Avalanche where the plastic molding has faded over the years. I've tried the liquid trim restore and never lasts that long. I primed 1st then spray painted 2 coats with this stuff. It's been a since Aug so far and it's been excellent. Heat,cold,rain,car washes etc.... And still no signs of wearing off. Color matches factory OEM. ... show more

Not a true matte black. Definitely more satin, even on the glossier side. Worked fantastic for my door handles, but did not look good on larger pieces like the bed rail caps. Too uneven of a sheen to use on larger surface areas. Does not fill in small cracks or sanding scratches to hide blemishes, if anything, it magnifies them. You need to use an ultra-fine sandpaper, like 1000 grit or more, for any trim that you plan to paint if it needs the prep work. ... show more

Awesome product that completely renewed the bumper on my 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee. So far I have only done the front bumper so in my picture you can see the contrast in the "bumper" on the side. Can't wait to get the rest of the vehicle done! One thing though is why the price difference in the grey?! These things retail for $5.87 at Home Depot if you can find them. ... show more

This paint is great! My 28 year old pitted, rusty and faded bumper looks like new again with minimal prep and effort. I still have half a can left and I gave it 3 coats. It sprayed smoothly even with the can upside down. I highly recommend this paint.
