Ive used this to paint a motor (red block, black head) and trans in the past and it held up amazingly to heat and oil. I even used it on the firewall and engine bay (white) and it layed on easy and cleaned up with an easy wipe. So I decided to paint the rims on my boat trailer to protect against salt and also to make them look a bit nicer than galvanized steel that was starting to show some wear. Im happy with the outcome. The pic in this review was taken 3hrs after spraying 2 heavy coats (15-20min apart from one another)... I cleaned the grease from a broken hub/bearing, then used a wire wheel on a drill to remove any loose material and rust. Wiped with Isopropyl alcohol followed by laying on paint. I could have taken a little more time to sand and wire wheel it, but it is what it is. No complaints and highly recommend. ... show more

I bought to paint my 5.3 LS engine. I used the Rustoleum 500 degree engine primer first and then painted this over it. Nice Chevy orange on my LS engine looks great in my 1968 C10 pickup. I recommend this product for the good quality paint results i achieved.

I hope this holds up but it looks amazing. Painted a 22r engine block to match a theme build. The outcome was not the exact tone a wanted but it turned out beter then I expected. The picture does not do justice. This looks just like a candy blue. Purchased this paint for some touchups on my Ariens snowblower. I read this was similar and it's much less expensive than the Ariens touch up paint. The match is extremely close (show car close? no, snowblower? absolutely) I sprayed a piece of scrap metal before spraying anything on the snowblower. Paint is amazing for wheels. Brake dust doesn't harm finish, prep is key. Light misting coats is also key.

Looks good on my cast iron engine block. Will have to wait a couple of weeks before rating temp. and adhesion as engine still out of the car. Expect will be fine, as with Rust-Oleum I've used in the past.

So I sprayed this into a plastic cup and used a paint brush to make my little fishes and outline. Worked great. But the paint disintegrated my plastic cup so that didn’t work haha. Still got the job done!
