The product looks great and compared to my OEM part, seemed identical. However, like the comment from a previous reviewer, my tilt controls failed after a short period of time. I tried to contact the factory through Amazon without reply, then tried to contact them directly through Kastonecorp, and their contact email bounces. Now I have a $230 part that has the exact same problem as the part I replaced. I don't know what the alternative is, but this is pretty disappointing. ... show more

My original Yamaha control box finally quit on me, and it's near impossible to find another original for sale. I bit the bullet and bought this OEM box. It is exact same as the original, and it came with the Yamaha manual. Works perfectly.

    • It a nice control box but just a little tweaking may be necessary for a proper control cable fit .
It looks great and works great but I did have to do a little filing on the slot where the cables lock into the box . It wasn’t really a big deal but the control cables would not fit down into the slot until I filed a little bit off of the sides and a little out of the bottom of the slot , otherwise I would have given it 5 stars . Don’t buy this unit!!! Wiring harness needed to be fixed before I could begin the install and the Ignition switch didn’t work at all, ended up using my 20+ year old name brand Yamaha switch that I pulled out of an old boat. Spend the extra money and get the name brand Yamaha 703. Junk
