Firstly, the description states this should fit for my truck and it did; Amazon's "perfect fit" tool says it is not compatible. With that out of the way, let's go over the product. It arrived very quickly and was well packed with the steps fully wrapped in protective materials. It came with all the bolts, nuts and washers needed for install. The instructions were not very good but with such a simple install, completely unneeded. Each of the brackets have the side and placement stamped into the metal making it a very simple task to understand where to put them. Two of my attachment brackets (RR, LM) were not bent square when they arrived, but this was easily rectified by bolting them in place and hitting them with a rubber mallet. The install was so nice having the brackets that attach to the truck installed first and then the running boards added after with high grade (8.8 hardness) bolts they came with. I used a level and tightened everything up and they bear the weight of two people at the same time with a combined weight of 280lb without issue or movement. The only reason I didn't give the sturdiness a full 5 stars and only 4, but these are still close enough that this is a 5 star product, the brackets give a little you stand on them and bend down by about 1/4 inch when weight is applied. All in all, these are a fantastic buy with great welds, a nice durable coating on the metal, easy to install, and look great. ... show more

These running boards are very sturdy and look great on our Tacoma. However, the first pair we received had spots where the coating was messed up. We requested to return them in exchange for another set. The second set came and the coating was messed up in the exact same spots. We thought it maybe happened during shipping but after receiving the second set the same way, it must be a manufacturing issue. I hate that they were both damaged cause not I have 2 heavy packages to take to the UPS Store to ship back. ... show more

I bought this item for my 2005 Toyota Tacoma. It fit perfectly, the installation was quick and easy. I finished from start to finish in one hour and a half. That’s with being distracted a bit. It gives a completely different look to the truck.

Looks good went on easily. About 1.5 hours to remove stock running boards and install these. Came with rust in spots. Had to touch them up. Also the bright hardware stands out like sore thumb so I pained them with raptor liner.

UPDATED! We mainly ordered these these nurf bars to allow me to more easily access my tiny 2023 Tacoma cab, more easily. I am physically disabled and therefore, I need all the help that I can get, getting into and out of the tiny Taco cab. My wife who is a Military Jet, Crew cheif, was able to assist me with this task and get under the the Taco to complete all the work attaching all the fixings that were under the truck. Firstly, my wife removed the factory plastic hole-plugs, for which she used a flat screwdriver, as directed. she then installed the mounting brackets using the smaller 14MM bolts. We inititally kept these bolts just loose enough to allow for small adjustments for the overall instalation. Once that was done, I asssited her in completing the remaining steps to attach the actual nurf bars themselves, again keeping ALL the nuts and bolts just slightly loose enough to make final adjustment before we gave all these same nuts and bolts their final full tighten. For us of course, we took our time so the task was a little more lengthy, but nevertheless straightforward. INSTALLATION TIP Though the instructions do not state this, the installation kit includes spring washers too. Do NOt forget to use and install these as you would noramlly do so, using these washers. Again the instructions do not include the order in whihc these should be installed, so it is just a case of using experience and common sense. Also, we noted that the bolt-holes (slots) on the bars themselves are slotted and not Holes. This means that essentially they are only going to remain at the angle that you set them at, based on the amount of torque applied to the securing bolts. So, make darn sure that you have used enough force to secure those bolts tightly or else you may find that one day someone heavy may be stepping on your bars adn they will move. A poor design in our opinion, in that respect. finally, ensure that your foot step plates are level BEFORE your final tighten! Overall, and taking our time to figure the things out, with its poorly given instructions, from opening the box, gathering the correct tools and securing the last bolt, it took us around 2-3 hours to complete. You will need: A 14 MM Socket. A 17 MM wrench. And a slightly larger socket, that was just less than 17mm, for the larger nuts. A good strong socket Ratchet wrench for your sockets. We are extremely happy with how these turned out in the end. Not only does it look great, but for me personally, it greatly assists me in being able to access our truck cab. The welds were nicely done for the most part, and the textured coating was evenly applied and tough-looking. Being a military familiy too, we especially liked the subtle "Stars and Stripes" logo embellished on these. These were more cost than we really wanted to spend, but we both felt that as these were so straight-forward to install and look so good, and serve such a great function, that we felt that they were worth all the money that we spent on these. I do love the steps and they look good after installation, but right out of the box, there are some sizeable chunks/scratches on the paint. I know over time this will happen, but I shouldn't have to touch up the paint right out of the box.

Have not yet installed these but just looking at them the quality is fantastic. I expect that these will mount up just fine based on how nicely machined the brackets are, and it should be extremely sturdy. Very happy with the surface finishes - partly anodize and partly powder coat in different parts of the running boards, and it all looks good.
