Defending those unprotected door sills couldn’t be any easier. When you install these Door Entry Guards, you’ll be preserving your precious paint and adding a cool accent at the same time. Constructed of a super-tough thermoplastic, each guard features an inlaid all-terrain tread pattern so they look just as great as they work- whether the doors are on or off. I had recently purchased a new Jeep for off-roading and discovered that the bottom "entry ramp" was quickly filling up with scratches from all my muddy treks. I decided to go ahead and give these a try! I was very pleased with the ease of install and they look great! One word of advice would be to test out where exactly they need to be placed before committing to taking the adhesive off. They fit reasonably well except for the very outer edge/corner. I would prefer to have that protected too as it seems like a spot vulnerable to scuffing. When pre fitting it might be a good idea to mark the sill with some painter’s tape or a pencil so you can easily get the protector into position after you have exposed the adhesive. Helps you to avoid the, ‘Oh crap! That’s not exactly where I wanted it!’ moment. ... show more

Just finished adding these door sill protectors on my 2023 JTRD. I added Xpel PPF on the first edge toward the outer surface of the vehicle as the protector does not cover that area. I placed this over the Xpel PPF and it adhered great. I read a few reviewers complaining about not fitting well or adhesive not sticking well. I believe one of the few things happened. Dirty mating surface, cold temp, and not prefitting the protector to follow proper contour. One thing note is to find a neutral/center position where the elevated ends of the sill protector will sit evenly against the surface. I tested the fit where it would sit evenly then marked each end on the door sill with masking tape so I know where the protector would sit. I warmed the protector and the heat made it very pliable and also made the adhesive tape to stick better. Use a lot of pressure to mend the tape against the mating surface and make sure you wiped clean and dry with some solvent prior to attempting this. I warmed up the protector and massaged the protector firmly onto its position after its initial placement. It looks great and I don't expect them to come off by itself. I will buy it again if needed. These are pliable, not the hard plastic like some others out there. Not a negative, just be aware of that. They seem to have good 3M tape, so hopefully they stay put long term. Easy to install if you mark the front and back with painters tape. I recommend starting at the upper seam while holding them into the bottom at the lower crease. There are a lot of sill guards out there. I shopped them all for a long time, before I selected these from Rugged Ridge. I feel I made a good choice. They are nice and thick. They conform well to the shape of the sill. The heavy duty 3M adhesive tape adheres well. They are all labeled left or right, with the tooling marks underneath. The front ones were pretty easy to align, using the hump for the body bolts as locaters. The back ones were a little more difficult. You have to use your eye for uniformity and good judgement to make sure they are properly aligned, looking for good centering and the flattest and most level position. But, I think I got it right. It looks good and there's no give when I push down on it. So, good deal. I like these sill protectors. They will prevent the sills getting all scratched up as people climb in and out of my new Jeep.
