The costume it's self was not bad. It did have thread coming out of the armpit area, from a sewing machine. The cape was nice. My issue is with the sizing. I read the reviews. I measured my daughter. Using the sizing chart in the picture, I chose what I thought would be the right size. My daughter is a petite 9yr old. She wears a size 7/8 (or 8). I thought ordering a medium would be just baggy enough on her to wear warm clothes underneath. The packaging even says U.S.A. size 8-10. However, we could barely even velcro the back. The arms were a little snug. Definitely not enough room for clothes underneath the costume. If we live in an area that had warmer Halloweens, it'd be fine. I had to do a return and reorder in a bigger size, also having to pay a few dollars more, because now the costume has gone up in price since I first ordered a few days ago. We like the costume. It's just frustrating that the sizes are so far from accurate. UPDATE: The new one, a large (12/14) came yesterday. It's in just as good condition. It is pretty big on my daughter. The large is significantly longer and wider. However, at least she can wear layers underneath... ... show more

I bought this (in size small) for my daughter’s fourth birthday and she LOVED it! She put it on immediately after opening it and wore it for the remainder of her party. I am writing this review almost a year later (her fifth birthday is in just a few weeks) and she STILL loves this costume. So much that she wore it for Halloween this year. The costume is very durable and has held up very well over the past year. My daughter is really into all the DC superhero girls (wonder woman, supergirl, batgirl, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Katana) and I really support the positive influence these fictional women have on young girls. They demonstrate and promote leadership, kindness, teamwork, cooperation, standing up for yourself and others, and appreciation for the unique abilities and contributions of other people and friends. If you have a kiddo that’s into superhero stuff, this would be a GREAT gift! The costume is great for dress up, pretend play, Halloween, and simply promoting the idea that you really can be a superhero and change the world… just believe in yourself! ... show more

this is a cute costume, made with nice material and looks very well made, but the sizing guide is way off, so i bought a costume that cant be worn, and it isn't worth the hassle to return, i will just give it away. my daughter is very disappointed after waiting 2.5 weeks for delivery (international order) that we don't have enough time to order a new one. i really don't like leaving negative feedback, but if i was going to give away 20$ id rather have given it to a charity. i purposely bought on amazon for quick stress free shipping and accurate sales descriptions, it was an overall bad experience. ... show more

This costume is great. Usually Rubie's costumes are pretty cheaply made and fall apart instantly, so I was hesitant to buy this for my daughter's halloween costume based on my prior experience with this brand. In the end, I'm so glad I bought it! The fabric feels nice and thick, and has a slick, almost rubbery feel to it, especially the cape. The belt is a separate piece with a velcro closure, and it rides up a bit when she's playing, so I ended up stitching it to the costume to keep it in place. We ordered based on her normal size rather than the recommended size up (she's on the slender side) and the arms and leotard were definitely the right size for her, though the skirt is a bit short. I'd recommend getting some shorts to wear underneath. We paired it with Dora Girls Red Glitter 1.75" Go Go Boots size Medium 13-1 and the Gia-Mia Dance Big Girls Metallic Short, Gold, Medium and now she's all ready for Halloween. She LOVES this costume - after trying it on to see if it fit, I had a heck of a time getting her to take it back off. Thumbs up all round. ... show more

I was very hesitant where to order this Supergirl costume or not. Several of the reviews said the sizing was way off. However, I ordered my 10 year old daughter (52" and 62lbs) the size medium based upon the size guidelines posted. My daughter normally wear an 10 slim. The costume fits great! The waist area is a little loose but with the belt it fits better. The quality of the material is good and the colors of the material are spot on. We are more on the modest size so she will probably wear Capri leggings under it bc it does come above her knees and she doesn't remember she is in a dress/skirt. But if she were more mindful of her attire and not do flips in it the length would be fine too. Overall we are very pleased! ... show more

I love this costume. Very well made and great detail. My daughter loves it. I would suggest following the size chart, my daughter is 6, 42# and her waist is 21 inches. I ordered a small and there is some room in it for her, so it will last a few years. The only complaint/suggestion for Rubie's is add length to the skirt, it's too short. I agree with some other reviewers about that, I have to get some shorts to put under it and I wish I didn't have to. I thought about returning it and ordering a size up but I'm afraid it will be too big on her. I would also suggest to make it even better to attach the belt too. I guess I could do it, but I seem to screw up simple sewing jobs. Overall, a great purchase. BTW, I have other costumes from Rubies and I think they are well made and think they are quality costumes, much nicer than the crap you buy at the store. ... show more

To be honest, I expected a cheaply made costume and I am so surprised. #1: It arrived a few days after it was ordered even though the expected date of arrival was supposed to be 2 weeks later which was awesome! #2: It was very neatly packaged which did not really give the costume any wrinkles; that's a plus! The material is not the typical cheap halloween material; it is good quality, especially the cape! #3: I ordered a small for my almost 5 year old and it fits just perfect for halloween and maybe a few months after that! #4: I am so happy that we (my daughter had a say in her costume!) chose this costume and I recommend it :) ... show more
