Let's be real here, if you're looking at this page right now you're probably not looking for the most authentic and show stopping batman costume out there. That being said, for $20 bucks or so this thing is actually pretty good. I purchased it for a fun famous couples party where heavy drinking was planned. I didn't want to break the bank, but didn't want to be lame and show up without a decent costume either. This worked perfectly for that occasion. It's fun enough, looks ok, and actually has a pretty decent cape. Although it does have one major flaw.... the mask is seriously laughable. I can NOT stress this enough. I was lucky enough to notice this before hand so I cut an "access hole" so that I could go to the bathroom without taking the entire costume off. If you cut down the seem, it appears to hold up pretty well. - Hood is seriously laughably bad. I was tempted to wear it just due to it's pure hilarity. - The arm spikes are... flaccid. For size refrence, I am about 6ft 1 around 190lbs and the thing fit really well. I wear a 42R slim cut suit typically and it fits great. I wouldn't have wanted to go smaller. The Batman Halloween costume is in my opinion the exemplary Amazon product because it accomplished the following criteria: - Arrived Prime and in just 1 day, as I ordered it 2 days before Halloween - Lowest price on a Batman costume you can find in any Party City, Spirit Halloween store, online etc. - Better than average, good quality materials and design There were some areas that could be improved on: - As people have mentioned, the mask and ears are poorly done. The mask is just cotton and connects with the cape, and the ears are two triangle pieces of fabric that flop over. I bought a mask from party city for 6 bucks that was awesome. - I ordered a medium, and am 5'10" and 175 lbs. It was almost a perfect fit, but the piece was a little bit too short by maybe 1 or 2 inches. When I fastened the back of the costume, it felt like my body was being squeezed into the costume. So it was uncomfortable but I got used to it once the night started. Getting a large would have definitely been too big, so this was the right choice. - I wore sweat pants underneath to hold my wallet, phone, and keys but there were no holes in it. One-piece costume and no holes. I had to cut 4 holes into the costume - 1 back pocket, 2 side pockets, and 1 hole front and center. Couldn't imagine taking the suit fully off multiple times throughout the night to use the bathroom. It is overall a great costume and you won't be disappointed. ... show more

It was a fair price for what I wanted. My son is not a small boy. On Halloween, he had just turned ten, was 4 feet 10 inches, 111 pounds. This costume didn't need any alterations. I simply did a few "tack" stitches after he put it on. I am no seamstress, so this was helpful. The mask. If you have read other reviews, what you have read about the ears is true. They are lame... But I am cheap! My kid was trick or treating and going to a school event, not a fashion show. I took 18 gauge wire I had on hand I use for crafting I got really cheap at Walmart and snipped off about 3 inches for each ear. I taped the wire to the backside of each ear with black gorilla tape/duct tape and those ears did whatever I wanted them to! My son loved it, and that's what mattered to me. ... show more

I got this as a gift for a friend who just had a birthday and really likes Batman. He is around 5'8 and usually wears a Medium. I read other reviews on this product and thought it would be a good fit for him. It was but the part about it basically being an adult onesie is true. So that part you can just work around but he says it isn't itchy or too tight or anything like that. Overall it is a good fit and is very much enjoyed. You should check out the size chart and other reviews before you choose your size for this costume. ... show more

The negative reviews on this made me a little weary at first, but I figured for how cheap it was it would at least be worth wearing once or twice. The suit is basically a onesie. The mask is terrible but I already had a higher grade mask, I'd suggest getting a separate mask. The belt is nothing to be envied, but it does the trick. Follow the fitting guidelines and you'll be fine. So, as I say in the title, for the price this is worth it. I'll be able to wear this more than once. It's not hundred of dollars, so don't expect something like that. Still awesome, though. ... show more

We bought some black material and made a replacement cape because the cape was way too small. My friend used to be a security guard and loaned me his utility belt, although there was nothing wrong with the cloth one that came with the costume. The ears were not sewn on evenly, one was higher than the other (still need to fix that). It is comfortable to wear and I didn't overheat. It's a nice costume for the price. I'm 6'1" and 230 lbs. and the XL had plenty of room for me, it was even a little loose. ... show more
